A popular speaker at chiropractic conferences and seminars, Dr. Rondberg is also a frequent guest on TV and radio shows. He has written numerous articles on chiropractic for the profession and the public, as well as several best-selling books, including "Chiropractic First," "Under the Influence of Modern Medicine," and (co-authored with Timothy J. Feuling) the "CBS Malpractice Prevention Program," and "Chiropractic: Compassion and Expectation." In addition to print and electronic editions of The Chiropractic Journal, he publishes online the Journal of Vertebral Subluxation Research -- a scientific, peer-reviewed journal -- and the electronic newsletter WCAnews/Health Watch. Dr. Christopher Kent is president of the Council on Chiropractic Practice. A 1973 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic, he is a Diplomate and Fellow of the ICA College of Chiropractic Imaging. He was named the International Chiropractors Association (ICA) “Chiropractic Researcher of the Year” in 1991, and he was the recipient of that honor from World Chiropractic Alliance (WCA) in 1994. Dr. Kent was also selected “Chiropractor of the Year” in 1998 by the International Chiropractors Association. He is the Main Representative of the WCA to the Department of Public Information, affiliated with the United Nations, and former chair of the NGO Health Committee, the first chiropractor elected to that position. He is the author of articles in peer-reviewed and popular journals, a contributor to textbooks, and has served on the postgraduate faculties of several chiropractic colleges. Dr. Kent is co-founder of the Chiropractic Leadership Alliance (CLA). An attorney as well as a chiropractor, Dr. Kent is an active member of the State Bar of California, and is admitted as an attorney of the United States District Court, Southern District of California Veronica Gutierrez, D.C.
Dr. Veronica Gutierrez, a 1963 graduate of Palmer College, has been a member of the World Chiropractic Alliance since 1991, a contributing editor to The Chiropractic Journal, chair of the WCA Health Care Reform Committee and recipient of the WCA's 1994 "Outstanding Service Award." A board advisor for the International Spinal Health Institute since 1997, she was a member of the Governor-elect's Health Care Advisory Committee in the state of Washington, and among the first D.C.s to practice and teach at the Regional Center for Chiropractic/Spine in Vladivostok, Russia. A founding member of the Council on Chiropractic Practice, Dr. Gutierrez is chair of the WCA Council on Women's Health and the only chiropractic representative to the White House Commission on Complementary and Alternative Medicine. He gained international acclaim when he helped introduce chiropractic to the Russian medical community by developing a chiropractic spine treatment, teaching & research center in Vladivostok, Russia. His post graduate training covers Applied Chiropractic Sciences, spinal adjusting technique, spinal trauma, treatment rehabilitation, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Electroneurodiagnostics, Spinal Outcome Assessment, and Impairment Rating. He's a Certified Independent Medical Examiner and a Candidate for Diplomate Status in Applied Chiropractic Science through the International Chiropractors Association. Linda Bevel has been a valuable part of the WCA and The Chiropractic Journal since their formation and is the primary liaison between the WCA and its members. With evident dedication to the profession as well as its practitioners, she has won the respect of chiropractic doctors, students, and vendors for her managerial expertise, organizational abilities, and interpersonal skills.
Ms. Bevel's background in management helps ensure that all WCA operations flow smoothly and that the organization meets the special needs of doctors of chiropractic.
Barbara Bigham supervises and coordinates a wide variety of writing, editing, and public relations tasks for the World Chiropractic Alliance. She has been associated with the WCA since its inception and has served as co-editor of The Chiropractic Journal since 1987.
Ms. Bigham's experience and expertise in all aspects of communication have been invaluable in the dissemination of information to the media and the public. In addition, as WCA "webmaster," she is responsible for all WCA websites.
