Council on
Chiropractic Clinical Science

The mission of the Council on Chiropractic Clinical Science is to
support and encourage the exploration and development of the clinical
application of chiropractic philosophy, science and art. The cornerstone
of the Council's mission is that chiropractic provides a non-duplicating,
separate and distinct form of health care focused on the detection,
arrest, reduction and prevention of vertebral subluxation. The Council
endeavors to provide a forum to explore the most efficacious means to
prevent subluxation and reverse its detrimental effects on health and well
being.
The Council is presently working on developing a document, which will
be a "Compendium of Chiropractic Technique." The hope is that we will have
broad support from the chiropractic technique community and will be able
to provide an overview of the varied approaches to subluxation detection
and reduction.
This document would be the first of its kind and will help
chiropractors, educators, students, consumers, attorneys, governmental
officials and third parties understand the application of chiropractic
philosophy and science.
The Council is working as a facilitator for technique developers and
experts in an effort to further define their techniques and applications.
This includes exploring how the techniques benefit participants in terms
of quality of life, subluxation reduction and overall well-being.
The Council will also be involved in the further development of
clinical practice guidelines, such as the Council on Chiropractic Practice
Guidelines, which impact subluxation-based chiropractic practice. Our
goals will be accomplished through broad representation from the
chiropractic community and the encouragement of diverse groups of
practitioners and researchers in this process. Our efforts will be
inclusive of all approaches as long as the goal is focused on the
detection, arrest, reduction and ultimate prevention of vertebral
subluxation.
The Council on Chiropractic Clinical Science is open to all doctors of
