Dear Senator [Name:]

On January 23, 2002, Pres. George W. Bush signed H.R. 3447 into law (P.L. 107-135), creating a new chiropractic benefit in the Veterans Affairs health care system. This law gives our veterans access to chiropractic care through the VA health care system and authorizes the hiring of doctors of chiropractic in the V.A. It’s a law that will help all veterans, as well as all chiropractors.

Naturally, as a practicing doctor of chiropractic in your district, I’m very interested in this new law and look forward to its implementation as soon as possible.

I am writing to ask you to contact the Secretary of the Department of Veterans Affairs and let him know how important it is for this benefit to be made available to veterans in your district without any undue delay. Our veterans deserve to have access to the best care possible -- whether medical or chiropractic -- and they’ll appreciate any help you can give them to make sure this happens quickly.

If you have any questions about this issue, or would like more information, please call the World Chiropractic Alliance at 1-800-347-1011.

Sincerely,
