The World Chiropractic
Alliance (WCA) and members of the Palmer Student WCA extended a special
"thank you" to the companies and individuals that helped them raise money
for their trip to the WCA Summit and Coalition Legislative Day earlier
this year.
In order to raise
funds, the students held a raffle to cover the cost of airfare and hotel
rooms and three chiropractic heroes ‑‑ Tom Kenny of Williams Healthcare,
Bill Esteb and Dr. Dennis Nikitow ‑‑ generously donated more than $10,000
worth of gifts to make it one of the most incredible raffles ever held.
Williams
Healthcare Systems donated a Zenith Hi‑Lo 220 (an $8,000 value) and a
toggle table (a $2,000 value), which greatly spurred the sales of raffle
tickets. The Hi‑Lo table incorporates both terminal point cervical and
pelvic drops and is among the most popular tables on the market today.
Williams is a leading
provider of Zenith products (adjusting tables, ultrasound/electronic
stimulation equipment, multi‑traction tables), and a broad line of
professional supplies to the physical therapy, chiropractic, and
rehabilitation markets.
Also donated
were a set of eight books by Bill Esteb (a $180 value). Esteb, a
chiropractic patient and advocate since 1981, is founder of Patient Media,
Inc., which provides a wide range of templates for patient letters and
other patient education materials. The eight‑book set explores the many
facets of the doctor/patient relationship from a patient's point of view.
Raffle buyers also got
a chance to win a set of posters by Dennis Nikitow, DC (valued at $160).
Dr. Nikitow has practiced chiropractic for 25 years and has trained more
than 20,000 DCs. Although best known as a public speaker and seminar
presenter, his company, Certainty Practice Products, provides a full line
of posters, videos, audio programs and brochures to help enhance any
practice.
