Paul "The Ultimate" Vaden, former International Boxing Federation (IBF) World Junior Middleweight Champion, has agreed to serve as the World Chiropractic Alliance's celebrity spokesman and will be greeting doctors at the organization's table during the Parker Seminar in Las Vegas, Jan. 30-Feb. 2, 2003.

Vaden, who racked up 29 wins and just three losses in his professional boxing career (and the best win/loss record in amateur boxing history, with 327 wins and 10 losses), is a staunch chiropractic supporter and a popular fitness trainer and motivational speaker. Through his "Ultimate Workout" program, he introduces boxing as a fitness exercise to women, executives, and anyone else who wants a fun and stimulating change from aerobics.

The World Chiropractic Alliance plans an extensive public education campaign featuring Vaden, including articles in a variety of magazines worldwide.

The WCA announced last month that it will hold a its first "Interim Board Meeting" on Wednesday, January 29, just prior to the start of the Parker Seminar. Dr. Fabrizio Mancini, president of Parker College, invited the organization to hold an annual Board of Governor's meeting in the facilities already reserved by Parker.

The meeting will be in addition to the WCA International Summit in Washington, D.C., scheduled for May 1-3, 2003, which will continue to be the WCA's primary, politically oriented Annual Meeting.

During the balance of the Parker Seminar, the WCA will have a display table in the dealer showcase area, where information about membership will be available along with copies of position papers and other material.

"We think it's important for doctors to know what we're all about," said Dr. Rondberg. "We want them to have the facts about us and our accomplishments. Paul will not only help us attract people to our display, but show them that the WCA is a world class contender in the chiropractic field."

All WCA members are urged to attend the Parker Seminar and arrive a day early in order to participate in the WCA meeting, which include a special "round table" discussion where WCA Board members will field questions from the audience .... a Board of Governor's evaluation and planning session ... and a chance for WCA members and other subluxation-based doctors to gather in the spirit of good-will and fellowship.
