Renaissance International growing

As of June 1, 2000, Drs. John Webster, Ed Plentz and Kevin Pallis will be the new owners and partners of Renaissance International, the company announced. Dr. Joseph Flesia, president of Renaissance will continue to lecture, develop new products and provide leadership.

Flesia created Renaissance in 1977 with Dr. Guy Reikeman, who went on to create the Quest Alliance and is currently president of Palmer College of Chiropractic.

Dr. Webster, a practicing chiropractor and seminar speaker from Whitesville, N.C., is a former board member of the Chiropractic Examiners in North Carolina. He has created more than 20 individual clinics for new chiropractors in the southeast. His vision for Renaissance is to develop a greater range of new products for patient education and services, as well as an expanded global impact of chiropractic.

Dr. Plentz used Renaissance procedures to develop his practice, which handles over 200 patients a day. His contribution to Renaissance will be to create successful chiropractic clinics throughout the United States, increase the number of seminars, continue support of well-patient-care research and supply the tools and coaching necessary for doctors to increase their practices in today's turbulent times.

Dr. Pallis, from Norwood, Mass., will continue Dr. Flesia's work in providing personalized coaching through the "Head to Head" program. Through Renaissance, he has created a well-patient care, family practice of over 150 patients a day. Pallis has developed a number of patient-supported activities including his new "ChiroCamp for Kids." This is a program designed to improve the expression of human potential in his younger practice members.

According to the company announcement, "The New Renaissance is dedicated to improving the practices of all chiropractors through the elimination of the Vertebral Subluxation Complex regardless of their practice profile. The vision of Renaissance is to continue to improve the human condition throughout the world by the elimination of the tragic effects of the Vertebral Subluxation Complex and to establish large well-patient care family practices in our profession."

The announcement went on to state, "Experience has shown that many successful subluxation-based wellness practices began their journey in the arena of crisis care. Because it takes time for personal and practice growth, the New Renaissance team has created an exciting ongoing practice development program to aid chiropractors in their journey towards large wellness vitalistic chiropractic offices."

Renaissance has been the only chiropractic resource that has targeted practice development to the "Baby Boomers" since its inception, its spokespeople note. "Wellness has been the goal of the 'Boomers' for the past three generations. Through their participation as patients, they have paved the way for continued, generational, chiropractic care for their parents and children."

According to Renaissance officials, the company "will continue to develop successful high-tech wellness patient education vehicles in order to improve the understanding and increase the compliance of all new patients. Renaissance continues its responsibilities to improve the human condition by increasing society's understanding of vitalistic chiropractic. The New Renaissance team has dedicated itself to this task by focusing its activities on the improvement of individual practices throughout the world."
