Dear Dr. Rondberg:
Thanks for the information that President Bush has signed into law a
bill getting chiropractic for veterans.
It is the right kind of wording (subluxation), specifically spelled out
so no one can misunderstand what chiropractors are specialists at doing.
I urge you to print in bold letters in The Chiropractic Journal how
very hard and determined we in WCA were until the bill contained the
proper subluxation wording. This law sets a precedent.
Chiropractors should be reminded of just how very important this new
law is and will be important around the world.
We now have a correct law on a FEDERAL level. A U.S.A. guide and model.
This will now serve as a model for many states who need to correct
their law and use the federal law as their guide.
Many states need to clean up their statutes very badly and soon.
Michigan for whom I speak has the best chiropractic law in the nation.
I know because I had much to do with it as Legislative Chairman for years.
It didn't come easy, nothing ever does.
Other countries need help!
Practically every country around the world finds Dr's of chiropractic
struggling against many obstacles, drug companies, medic's and other
adversaries in their effort to get good legislation and accreditation on
the record.
NOW - they can refer to our proper law in Washington DC. Federal level
of U.S. (of which there is no higher authority) to pattern their
terminology and laws.
This is a humanist Victory for America.
WCA, its officers, governors, and lobbyist deserve all the credit.
We in the WCA are very proud that we did not "cave" when the
going got tough.
We insisted to the end and WON. We got put into law what sets us apart
-- which gives us a foundation to build upon forever.
That foundation is principled, it is solid, it is us, and it belongs to
us and us alone.
That foundation is SUBLUXATION!
I AM PROUD!
I am proud and pleased and most happy that I could see the leadership
qualities of Dr. Terry Rondberg from day one.
As a Charter member of WCA and now serving as a member of the
International Board of Governors I want to assure the Chiropractic World
that the B.J. Palmer kind of single simple principle (from above, down,
inside out, is here to stay).
We in WCA will make absolutely sure that;
#l Subluxations remains our identity.
#2 The word chiropractic is here to stay (no fuzzy other words need be
added) Chiropractic medicine - Physicians etc?
#3 Our innate philosophy is here to stay.
#4 Our innate (depth of capacity) understanding has now been proven to
be correct for 107 years.
To all chiropractors everywhere I urge you -- come join and help. WCA
welcomes you.
#l Save your profession. Join and help.
#2 Save Chiropractic.
Hope to see you all in Washington at the great Summit 2002, April
11-13, 2002.
Come meet the power brokers of the nation and help us defend out turf.
Sincerely,
Dr. Clair W. O'Dell, D.C., PhC., F.I.C.A., F.A.C.A.
Member, Board of Governors
