Changing millions -- one at a time

B.J. Palmer said: "Change one life and you can change millions." Looking at the record, Dr. Dennis Nikitow's done just that.

More than 22 years in practice and averaging 1,000 PVs/week for the majority of the time has changed a lot of lives. Dr. Nikitow's high retention family practice has been full of chiropractic miracles -- blind people see, deaf people hear and the paralyzed walk.

Known for his "Cash Practice Seminar" and chiropractic educational tools/products, he is most respected for his unique system of communication that integrates chiropractic philosophy into patient management for maximum value and patient retention.

Thousands of chiropractors, including some of the biggest practices in the world, use Nikitow's communication strategies for changing patient beliefs about chiropractic. His educational "Power Tools" -- including posters, pamphlets and tapes -- are recommended by consultants and coaches across the globe because they convey the chiropractic principle and philosophy of subluxation to a tee.

Secret of success

What's the secret behind Nikitow's success? What drives him?

"Years ago, when I was entering optometry school and suffering from asthma, headaches and low back pain, chiropractic helped me when nothing else could," he explains. "I realized people didn't have to suffer the way I did, so I set out on a mission to inform as many people as I could about the benefits of chiropractic care.

"Being the kind of individual who was always willing to stand up for what was right even if it went against the grain, as well as the innate desire to help people made the challenge of chiropractic a perfect fit.

"I couldn't understand how the public could overlook the simplicity and truth of chiropractic principles yet be so brainwashed by the money driven monopoly of medicine. I was intrigued by how easily people could be swayed. So, I began studying what influenced peoples decision and how they adopt their beliefs.

"This led to some startling discoveries which I have incorporated into my communication system to break what I call the "BS" or "Belief Subluxation. This is the one adjustment chiropractors struggle with before they can even get to the spine. I developed a unique communication strategy that influences people's beliefs about chiropractic so they see it as a part of their HCT (health care team) vs. a symptom, condition treatment. This cracked the secret behind high retention family chiropractic practice where people find a way to do care and maintain regardless of insurance or cash.

"But," states Nikitow, "to boil it down to one word, I think the secret to my success is balance. "It's the core to life and what most people struggle with. Life is based on balance. What keeps us going is balance with God, family, food, self, money, exercise, chiropractic, everything that is important to us. It's all a balancing act.

"Helping people get balance in chiropractic is our job," he continues. "I have expanded to helping chiropractors get balanced within chiropractic. But even if helping others gets out of balance with family or God, I cut back. This is what keeps me energized and always able to give 100% in all I do. That's success. Not being the best but giving 100% in all you do.

"But, it has to be balanced," Nikitow stresses. "To be happy and successful in life it has to be that way, otherwise you can have the biggest practice, make lots of money, have fame and be miserable along the journey of life."

Nikitow's current seminar -- "Nik at Night/Practicing With Certainty" -- is designed to strengthen chiropractors and staffs from inside out. It focuses on character building, fear breaking, creating balance and perfecting communication strategies to build high retention family practices for cash or insurance payment.

His exclusive "Home Study Course" allows doctors to perfect these strategies at home at their own pace. This enables D.C.s and their staffs to build highly successful practices and continually train and master these strategies. In fact, after attending the seminar and consistently improving through the home study course many practices report significantly increasing their patient visits -- some by up to 300-500 in only 90 days -- while finding the fun and purpose in practice again and, most important of all, maintaining balance in their lives.

Nikitow's mission of getting a D.C. on everyone's health care team has led him to develop a wide array of patient educational materials. Covering everything from chiropractic philosophy to medical research on chiropractic principles, these offerings are sure to be valued and used by generations of chiropractors to come.
