The Parker 50th Anniversary Seminar, held January 17-20 in Las Vegas,
was a spectacular success by any standards.
"With over 6,500 D.C.s, staff, families and exhibitors in
attendance, along with an additional 1,500 people who viewed the webcast
online, this was truly an event for chiropractic that we can all be proud
of," stated Dr. Dana Mackison, Director of Seminars. "We know it
would not have been possible without everyone's involvement in lending
their support."
Featured at the event were celebrity speakers such as Dr. Deepak
Chopra, world leader in the science of mind-body medicine; Mark Victor
Hansen, co-author of the popular "Chicken Soup for the Soul"
series; Dr. Wayne Dyer, author and expert in the field of
self-empowerment; Morris Goodman, who summarized a story of motivation and
courage in "The Miracle Man;" and Dr. Nathaniel Branden, author
of "Six Pillars of Self-Esteem."
A highlight of the event was the gathering of leaders from all major
chiropractic organizations, including World Chiropractic Alliance
President Terry A. Rondberg, D.C. The group assembled on stage to launch
the "Save our Subluxation" campaign to raise funds for the
National Chiropractic Legal Action Fund (NCLAF). The fund covers expenses
involved in the profession's lawsuit against the Centers for Medicare and
Medicaid Services (CMS, formerly HCFA) and Trigon Blue Cross/Blue Shield.
"The energy at the event was incredible," stated Dr.
Rondberg. "It was truly an event to be remembered."
Parker Seminars for the rest of 2002 will continue the theme of
"Celebrate the Past and Embrace the Future" as well as the
festive atmosphere. "We want to make every seminar for Parker this
year a celebration," Dr. Mackison noted. "We are selecting
outstanding keynote speakers for each seminar along with an exciting line
up of individual teachers and presenters."
Upcoming seminars are scheduled for:
*** April 11-14, Dallas
*** June 27-30, San Diego
*** August 29-September 1, Toronto, Ontario
*** October 17- 20, Miami
