Mark Charrette, D.C., contributing editor for The Chiropractic
Journal, has announced the publication of his new book, "Charrette
Adjusting Protocols."
The 110-page instructional manual is intended to teach chiropractors
and students of chiropractic the most common extremity subluxation
patterns encountered when rendering chiropractic care.
The protocols described in the book are a collection of procedures Dr.
Charrette has developed over more than 20 years of practicing
chiropractic.
"I am of the firm belief that extremity adjustments are an
integral part of the chiropractic adjustment with definite neurological,
mechanical, and physiological foundations," explains Charrette.
"There is a huge difference between the definitions of an
asymptomatic joint and the non-subluxated joint. Though a joint may not be
symptomatic, it very well may be subluxated."
One chapter, written by neurology expert, Dr. Gideon Orbach, discusses
the neurophysiological basis of chiropractic. Also included are basic
stabilization procedures for the extremities utilizing extremity taping
and a final section titled, "Show & Feel Demonstrations."
Simple and brief explanations of procedures allow for easy comprehension
regardless of what stage one's career in chiropractic education is in.
A featured speaker at Foot Levelers' educational events, Charrette is
known throughout the chiropractic profession for his fun and informative
approach to lecturing. A 1980 summa cum laude graduate of Palmer College
of Chiropractic, he has presented hundreds of seminars on biomechanics,
extremity adjusting, and chiropractic technique in the United States,
Europe and the Far East. He currently resides in Las Vegas, Nev. and has
built high-volume practices in California, Nevada, and Iowa.
His book can be purchased for $69 (U.S.) by calling Foot Levelers at
