WCA starts referral contest

In May of this year, the World Chiropractic Alliance will launch one of the largest and most exciting referral contests ever seen in the profession!

"Shortly after he was appointed the WCA's Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Tony Palermo said one of his goals was to teach doctors how to be successful not in theory -- but in practice," stated Terry A. Rondberg, D.C., president of the organization. "He knew that successful doctors can build a successful organization -- and ensure a successful profession. He outlined his ideas and I literally couldn't contain my excitement, energy and enthusiasm."

Dr. Palermo told him, "For too long, organizations within our profession have delivered lip service -- long on rhetoric and short on example. I say we teach the members of the WCA how to be extraordinarily successful by example."

In his quest to attract members to the WCA, Palermo suggested that the WCA do what the best practitioners do -- grow the membership from above, down and from the inside, out.

Since Palermo's chiropractic practice is a "Referral/Members ONLY" practice, the WCA decided to follow his lead and use some of his most successful strategies to increase membership in the WCA.

Starting in May 2003, the WCA will award an variety of valuable prizes to the individual who refers the most new members to the World Chiropractic Alliance.

Selected advertisers of The Chiropractic Journal will be donating products and services to be awarded each month to the winner of the contest.

"Prizes, products and services awarded to our monthly winners are worth thousands of dollars," said Rondberg. "I'm thrilled to see the leaders in our profession step up in such a large and generous way!"

How do you win?

There are a variety of ways for you to refer friends and colleagues to the WCA. You can...

***  Enroll a friend with a gift membership.

***  Encourage your colleagues to visit the WCA web site (www.worldchiropracticalliance.org) and register on line. Be SURE to tell them to enter YOUR name as the source of referral!

***  Hand out WCA Membership Packages to as many doctors as you can, whenever you see them. You can obtain the packages by calling the WCA at 800-347-1011. Write your name in the "referred" by field in the applications include in the package to receive credit for the referral.

***  Print copies of the Membership Application from the website and mail them to your friends with a personal note urging them to join us!

Every month, the individual with the highest number of referrals will not only receive a variety of free products and services, but they will also be featured in The Chiropractic Journal as a public acknowledgment for their efforts!

"What we envision for the WCA is an obliteration of the boundaries between 'leadership' and 'membership'.
