Registration for Summit 2004 begins soon

The World Chiropractic Alliance (WCA) International Summit 2004 will be held, Thursday, April 29 through Saturday, May 1, 2004 at the J.W. Marriott Hotel on Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, D.C.

Thursday will be a "Legislative Day," with participation by the Chiropractic Coalition partners -- the International Chiropractors Association, the WCA, and the Federation of Straight Chiropractors and Organizations.

From 8‑9 a.m., in the J.W. Marriott Garden Terrace Room, the WCA will hold a one‑hour political "pep rally," featuring the WCA lobbyist. During this period, doctors will receive WCA informational packets to bring to their legislators.

Throughout the rest of the morning and early afternoon participants will visit legislators, either singly or in state contingents. They will speak with Senators and Representatives (or their staffs) about pending or planned legislation, the unique character of chiropractic, the Chiropractic Coalition, etc.

In the afternoon, the WCA International Board of Governors will hold its annual meeting.

The evening will be set aside for a Reception at the Marriott Garden Terrace Room. In the past, the focus of this Reception was to meet visiting legislators, but in 2004, the WCA will concentrate on the doctors, giving them time to share their thoughts, and receive well‑deserved recognition from each other. The WCA will present its annual awards during the reception.

On Friday, April 30, The Ballroom will be sectioned off and the Summit will offer four programs, running concurrently.

The WCA program will feature an exciting lineup of speakers and instructors, including Drs. Liz Anderson‑Peacock, Leslie Bedell, Madeline Behrendt, Leona Fischer, Dave Fletcher, Stephanie Grenier, Veronica Gutierrez, Don Harte, Spence Jahner, Sal Martingano, Jack Masche, Jeff Shay, Brian Stenzler, Jamie Whitlock, and Jay Zimmerman.

The three other "channels" available on Friday will be an Addictionology program, hosted by Dr. Jay Holder; a 2X+1 Chiropractic Mastermind program, by Dr. Tony Palermo; and a Family Practice Program, with Dr. Eric Plasker. When registering, doctors will select the program they wish to attend.

On Saturday, all Summit registrants will gather together for presentations by some of the most popular speakers in the profession, including Drs. Patrick Gentempo, Jay Holder, David Jackson, Christopher Kent, Matthew McCoy, Tony Palermo, Eric Plasker, and Terry Rondberg.

As in years past, the event promises to be an electrifying one that will take participants (literally) "to the Summit!"

Registration for the event begins in September.
