Summit '04 to offer exclusive free TRT Workshop

Doctors to have choice of advanced hands‑on class or standard Torque Release Technique seminar

In addition to the full‑day, standard Torque Release Technique (TRT) lecture, the World Chiropractic Alliance International Summit 2004 will offer a separate advanced TRT non‑lecture workshop.

The Summit will be held April 29‑May 1, 2004, at the J.W. Marriott Hotel on Pennsylvania Ave. in Washington, D.C. The two TRT programs ‑‑ to be presented on April 30 ‑‑ are free to all Summit registrants.

At registration, doctors will be given the opportunity to choose which program they wish to attend on April 30.

The advanced non‑lecture TRT Workshop is available to those who have already taken the standard two‑day TRT training which will also be offered at the Summit in a complete, but compressed, one‑day format.

The advanced workshop will be taught by Suzi Taylor, D.C., renowned for her TRT expertise and unique workshop skills. The intensive TRT training seminar will be presented by Jay Holder, D.C., developer of the Torque Release Technique and President/Co‑Founder of the American College of Addictionology and Compulsive Disorders.

TRT has won widespread praise in the profession. Christopher Kent, D.C., president of the Council on Chiropractic Practice, has stated that TRT "represents a tonal approach to the correction of vertebral subluxations."

Robin C. Hyman, D.C., former professor of technique at Parker College of Chiropractic and author of "Thompson Technique" and "AK and Subluxation Analysis" noted that "Synthesizing and encompassing the 'best of the best' within many of the great chiropractic techniques of our profession, Torque Release Technique becomes a welcomed, philosophical and scientifically based addition of subluxation‑based chiropractic technique for the next 100 years of chiropractic."

"Without any question, those attending the advanced hands‑on workshop are able to practice TRT confidently and without confusion," Dr. Taylor stated. "Such clarity and confidence usually requires several months of focused practice. However, those attending the hands‑on workshop are able to achieve what normally takes several months in one day."

Since the hands‑on workshop is normally conducted with four doctors to an adjusting table, registration is limited and doctors are urged to register as early as possible.

"The World Chiropractic Alliance is deeply indebted to Dr. Holder and Dr. Taylor for their willingness to give these important training sessions for free, as part of the WCA Summit," stated Terry A. Rondberg, D.C., WCA president. "It will give doctors an unprecedented chance to learn this valuable technique or advance their skills in TRT at no extra charge. Rarely does any chiropractic event offer such an incredible opportunity."

The registration fee for the 2004 WCA International Summit is $285, which includes one practicing D.C. and an unlimited number of non‑D.C. guests (family, staff, etc.). The WCA will apply for continuing education credit and will post the states approving such credit on the Summit website. In past years, Summit presentations have been approved for 16 credits in most states. An additional fee of $50 for the processing of CE credit can be paid at the door.

When they register, doctors will specify which Friday program they choose to attend. Registrants may attend all Thursday and Saturday events as well, including a first‑ever Joint Legislative Day involving the WCA, International Chiropractors Association and Federation of Straight Chiropractors and Organizations.

Saturday presenters include many of the most popular speakers in the profession, celebrating the art, science and philosophy of chiropractic.

Doctors may register by calling the WCA at 800/347‑1011 or online at www.worldchiropracticalliance.org/summit04.
