D.C.s ready to give special 'Valentine' in 2004

Doctors around the country are gearing up for another exciting "Have‑A‑Heart" event, to be held during Valentine's Week, February 9‑14, 2004.

The annual Have‑A‑Heart fundraiser benefits Oklahaven Children's Chiropractic Center and has become a popular and successful way to show patients the tremendous positive effects chiropractic can have on children.

For 41 years, Oklahaven has provided chiropractic to increasing numbers of suffering children. Children come from all over the world to this internationally recognized non‑profit center dedicated to restoring health to developmentally challenged children.

"We are looking forward to thousands of new 'hearts' for children and chiropractic as we band together in support of chiropractic," said Bobby Doscher, D.C., CEO of Oklahaven.

Taking part in the program is simple and fun. Upon registering, you receive a video tape from Oklahaven that showcases heart‑warming case histories of parents and families whose lives have been forever changed by the care they receive there. Included on the tape are the stories of a child whose hearing was restored after just two visits and of a five‑year old with crippling arthritis who went on to become an accomplished pianist.

When patients make donations, the CA simply writes their names on a "heart" to be displayed in the office, and keeps a log of donor names and amounts. After the Have‑a‑Heart fundraiser ends, donations are sent to Oklahaven along with a report detailing the office's success.

"These families are truly grateful to those who have opened their hearts and broadened the mission of Oklahaven," said Dr. Doscher. "With more children coming each year, we hope you will open your heart to the mission of helping children realize their full potential through the power of chiropractic by participation in our 2004 Have‑A‑Heart campaign."

To register for the 2004 Have‑a‑Heart campaign, or for more information about Oklahaven, visit www.chiropractic4kids.com, or send name, clinic name, address, phone, and e‑mail to Oklahaven, 4500 N. Meridian, Oklahoma City, OK 73112.
