New product announcement from Posture Pump

Submitted by Posture Pump

Posture Pump is pleased to announce the introduction of the Posture Pump Elliptical Rocker. The "ER" is an affordable, user-controlled mechanism that actively lubricates and elliptically shapes the lower spine.

If you've marked up thousands of lateral lumbar films, or tried to stuff a circular support under your low back, or attended a Chiropractic Biophysics seminar, you have probably recognized that the lower spine is not shaped the same as the cervical spine.

It's an ellipse not just another curve (fig. 1)

If you've read Dr. Fred Barge's book Tortipelvis, or our August 1997 article in The Chiropractic Journal entitled "The Buck Stops Here," you may also be aware that the lower spine has a frequent propensity to laterally trap or "Liquid Lock" the fluid in one or more of its discs (usually at L-4/L-5 or L-5/S-1). (fig.2)

This malady, while sometimes asymptomatic, is always associated with aberrant motion and eventual joint degeneration.

Since the lumbo-pelvic spine starts off like it's going to be a circle and then tapers into an ellipse as it reaches the mid-lumbar and thoraco-lumbar junction, a double fulcrum is required to mold it.

Furthermore, joint separation and dual vectored force is also required if joint locking is to be corrected. Fortunately, in 1997, Posture Pump received its fourth patent for just such a mechanism.

Add the ability to rock the pelvis anterior and posterior along the x-axis while the spine is pneumatically vectored into an ellipse and you've got the Posture Pump Elliptical Rocker (Model 2000).

This cutting edge tool is the latest in Posture Pump technology. The "ER" is a professional looking and performing piece of equipment from your office stating loud and clear "I help my patients get the results they deserve".
