Brican takes patient
education to the next level
There
isn't a doctor of chiropractic in the world who doesn't recognize the
importance of patient education. With it, we can fill our offices with
enthusiastic patients who know the benefits of chiropractic, complete
their program of care, and refer their family and friends.
Too
often, though, in the rush of maintaining a private practice, patient
education is reduced to handing out a couple of brochures or a two-minute
patient indoctrination. It's no surprise so many patients leave as soon as
their symptoms disappear or fail to send their friends to their D.C.
To
be effective, a patient education program has to be exciting, stimulating
and ongoing. Patients in your waiting room shouldn't spend their precious
time leafing through old copies of Better Homes and Gardens or Sports
Illustrated (particularly since most magazines are filled with drug
ads!). Not when they could be enjoying a multi-media presentation on
chiropractic specifically customized for your office.
According
to the Brican Corp., "The power of education lies in the enthusiasm
it creates." That's true, and the Mediadoc system developed and
marketed by Brican is one of the most powerful patient education systems
available for doctors of chiropractic today.
Imagine
your patients waiting for their appointment and watching a colorful and
informative multimedia presentation on chiropractic -- with shows you've personally
selected from hundreds available from Brican. Or, ones you've created
with their easy-to-use software.
The
presentation is broadcast from large screen TVs that can be ceiling- or
wall-mounted, or placed on a stand for all enjoy. Dozens of positive
messages entertain and inform them, turning them into enthusiastic
patients who'll become your best marketing partners.
Drs.
Ron and Mary Oberstein of
San Diego
, who've used the Brican
system for the past two years, report "it is without a doubt one of
the most sophisticated and powerful educational and marketing tools we
have ever used. It looks fantastic, patients love it and there is a huge
number of subluxation-based messages to choose from, plus the ability to
create our own. We highly recommend it!"
Dr.
Elizabeth Anderson‑Peacock of Barrie, Ontario is grateful for
"this powerful tool in chiropractic," noting that "patient
education occurs from the moment upon entering the office," with the
Mediadoc system, pointing out it "also supports and uses references
that reaffirm the clients' health care choices."
Recently,
Mediadoc added of hundreds of new messages, new and more flexible
software, and special sections dedicated to Network Spinal Analysis,
Torque Release Technique, Foot Levelers, chiropractic leaders and more.
With
a product like Mediadoc, Brican could have been assured of its place in
the chiropractic profession. But Brican President Laurent Goldstein didn't
want to stop there. After attending many chiropractic seminars as a vendor
with the Brican Mediadoc program, he wanted to find a way for doctors to
benefit from the immense amount of information being presented, even
though they were unable to attend the actual seminars.
His
solution was to establish the innovative "Path to Excellence"
teleconferencing program, where doctors, students and C.A.s can "tune
in" to exceptional speakers twice a week, dialogue with them and gain
the information and motivation they need to reach their personal and
professional goals.
Brican
has also announced that it will expand its "Art & Soul of
Chiropractic" seminars in 2003.
Designed
to bring chiropractic to communities that ordinarily host major seminar
events, these seminars provide a wealth of information and inspiration
that can benefit all doctors and their staff.
