U.S. legislators receive copy of 'The Chiropractic Way'

In conjunction with the World Chiropractic Alliance Summit, author Michael Lenarz, D.C., a member of the World Chiropractic Alliance Board of Governors, will deliver 530 donated copies of "The Chiropractic Way" to every member of the U.S Congress.

The publication of "The Chiropractic Way" by Bantam Books, is the first introductory book about chiropractic published by a major publisher.

"After 107 years chiropractic has achieved its placed in mainstream literature," said Dr. Lenarz. "There have been great books written about chiropractic, but to have a book published by an internationally respected publishing house like Bantam Books, is a mark of distinction. It is long overdue."

Dr. Terry Rondberg, president of the WCA and author of Chiropractic First was enthusiastic about the book. "Dr. Michael Lenarz has done an outstanding job of explaining chiropractic, and the wealth of information in his book can help everyone lead a healthier, longer, and happier life," he said.

Lenarz is embarking on a nationwide book tour to speak to the public about chiropractic. By invitation from private chiropractic offices, schools of chiropractic, chiropractic organizations and the media, Lenarz will visit over 25 cities in the U.S. and Canada by the end of July.

Engagements to speak in over 50 cities nationwide by the end of the year are currently being booked. This is one of the most aggressive speaking tours ever scheduled, to spread the chiropractic vision to people throughout North America.

When asked about his tour, Lenarz said, "What is so unique about this tour, is its grass roots nature. Chiropractors from throughout North America have invited me to come and speak to their communities. These are doctors who are excited about the book, and excited about the chiropractic message. The goal of this book and the goal of the speaking tour is to double the number of people seeing chiropractors in the North America over the next five years."

So far the response has been positive. Speaking at venues ranging from a prestigious, private club in Downtown Chicago, to the Elks Club in Omak, Washington, to a large theater in Pittsburgh, doctors and patients alike have found inspiration and excitement in Lenarz's presentation, called "The New Health Care Revolution - Chiropractic and Vitalism."

"I believe there are two great contributions that chiropractic has to offer the world," Lenarz noted. "One is the chiropractic adjustment, the other is chiropractic philosophy. The book and my talk focus on these two separate but related benefits. While the chiropractic adjustment can maximize the connection between the brain and the body of each individual, chiropractic principles can create clarity in the health care paradigm world wide."

In addition to the events sponsored by chiropractic offices, Dr. Lenarz is scheduled to speak at the Palmer College Lyceum on August 7th.

But Lenarz's efforts don't stop there. He has been invited to speak on local and nationally syndicated radio stations, including the popular radio program "Natural Living with Gary Null" and has been invited to speak on a number of local and regional television programs (usually in conjunction with his book tour stops).

Along with help from Bantam Books publicity department, there are ongoing efforts to generate more national TV and radio spots. "There is great momentum gathering both inside and outside the profession," Lenarz said. "Everyone who reads the book, from college presidents and other professional leaders, to patients and doctors in the field, say the book is well balanced, kind to the whole profession, easy and very enjoyable to read, and packed with great information."

Dr. Guy Riekeman, President of Palmer Colleges, wrote the forward to the book and has this to say about Dr. Lenarz and "The Chiropractic Way", "I am committed to working with individuals such as Dr. Lenarz to bring a health care revolution into being in our lifetimes. Chiropractic has a singular philosophy of human function and health that makes us uniquely positioned and qualified to open, lead and advance a public discourse regarding a vitalistic approach to health. It is our responsibility to speak loudly and clearly to this issue. This book does so beautifully."

Mark Victor Hansen, author of Chicken Soup For The Chiropractic Soul and The One Minute Millionaire, says, "For anyone who wants to achieve their full potential in life and health, this book is a must read! Dr. Lenarz weaves an enjoyable story with chapters on choosing a chiropractor around essential information that every person could benefit from. As a chiropractic patient, it is refreshing to read a book that tells the chiropractic story with such clarity!"

"The Chiropractic Way" was released April 15, 2003 and is available at bookstores or through the WCA website (www.worldchiropracticalliance.org). For bulk orders of over 20 books, or for information about the book tour, visit www.thechiropracticway.com."
