William Shatner premieres 'CWA' wellness program at Parker

Standing before thousands of doctors of chiropractic attending Parker Seminars in Las Vegas , media legend William Shatner announced his participation in a new franchise program that its founders say "is sure to revolutionize the profession."

Mr. Shatner has teamed up with the Creating Wellness Alliance (CWA) to announce the launch of Creating Wellness Centers, a national franchise of wellness centers to be distributed through chiropractic offices. CWA was developed by the founders of Chiropractic Leadership Alliance (CLA).

During his speech, Shatner mentioned that he and his wife are chiropractic advocates and have been scanned with CLA's Insight Subluxation Station.

"You were the visionaries who were among the first to practice the science of natural healing," he told the enthusiastic crowd. "You are the ones who help the body heal itself. You saw it long before it was accepted by traditional medicine and the public. You are the ones to take Creating Wellness to the final frontier where people live their lives to the fullest."

CWA Chief Executive Officer, Patrick Gentempo, D.C., noted, "This new alliance we have formed is unparalleled in its ability, focus and vision. Start with the talents of Drs. Christopher Kent and David Jackson, and the rest of the CLA team, add a line-up of world-class experts including Doug Caporrino, and the immense star power of William Shatner and you can see a formula that will take this profession powerfully into the wellness revolution so that chiropractic leads it!"

Dr. Gentempo followed Shatner on the platform in Las Vegas .

"You and I play a pivotal role in the formation of a giant industry that holds the potential to save countless millions of lives," he explained. "Let me introduce to you a concept so obvious and so powerful, that in a short time it will revolutionize our profession and our culture. A concept that not only answers the challenges facing you, the individual chiropractor and our profession, but also boldly addresses the negative forces killing our culture. What I introduce you to here today is much more than a business venture, it is a revolution. And with it ladies and gentlemen, you become revolutionaries."

Gentempo added that the goal of the program is to create a national, and then international "brand" of chiropractic in the context of wellness. "It is our mission to have each chiropractic practice that possesses a Creating Wellness Center to be firmly established as the wellness resource for the community," he noted.

Unlike the traditional franchise concept, the Creating Wellness Center is a franchise within a practice, Gentempo explained. The practice itself is not a franchise and doctors are free to incorporate their own techniques, business practices, and procedures, and do not pay royalties for regular chiropractic services. The office name would also allow for individual identity. Jones Chiropractic would become, Jones Chiropractic -- A Creating Wellness Center .

"We have created a cash business center within the practice, that establishes it as the leading wellness resource within the community, that will become nationally branded and recognizable, that will address and offer affordable solutions to the lifestyle causes of subluxation," Gentempo elaborated. "Included will be a media package that would not be affordable to any individual chiropractor that features William Shatner as spokesperson. We've worked exhaustively on this for years. It will transform the practices that possess a Creating Wellness Center franchise and as a result transform the profession."
