ICAK to hold annual meeting

Will celebrate Dr. Goodheart's 85th birthday

The U.S. chapter of the International College of Applied Kinesiology (ICAK‑USA) will hold its annual meeting at the Oak Brook Hills Resort in Chicago, June 26‑29. The theme of the event is "A Celebration of the Triad of Health," reflecting the group's interest in an eclectic approach to health care.

The ICAK was founded in 1975 to provide instruction on the research of Dr. George Goodheart, whose 85th birthday will be celebrated at this year's meeting. Preceding the public conference will be a board meeting of the ICAK‑USA.

The conference itself features Stephen Driscoll, D.D.S., as the keynote speaker. Dr. Driscoll is an Assistant Professor in the Department of General Dentistry at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He is also an Associate Professor in the Departments of Physical Medicine and Oriental Medicine at Capital University of Integrative Medicine in Washington, DC. Dr. Driscoll works in the Craniofacial Pain Center at Tufts and at the South Shore Craniofacial Pain Center in Duxbury, MA. Dr. Driscoll was recognized as a Fellow in 2001 of American Association of Integrative Medicine.

Other featured presenters include George Goodheart, D.C.; David Leaf, D.C.; Bob Porzio, D.C.; Wally Schmitt, Jr., D.C.; and Dave Walther, D.C., speaking on Structure.

The emotional component will be explored by Michel Barras, D.C.; Robert Blaich, D.C.; John Diamond, M.D.; James Durlacher, D.C.; and Tim Francis, D.C., while the chemical component will be covered by Hans Garten, M.D.; Michael Lebowitz, D.C.; Evan Mladenoff, D.C.; and Robert Rakowski, D.C.

Focusing on neurology will be Michael Allen, D.C.; Richard Belli, D.C.; Steven Hoopes, D.C.; Datis Kharrazian, D.C.; and Kathleen Power, D.C. Topics concerning research and practice management will be addressed by Gary Arthur, D.C.; John Corneal, D.C.; Terry Hambrick, D.C.; Vincent Lucido, D.C. and Phil Maffetone, D.C.

Registration for the ICAK‑USA annual event is $400 for members, $475 for non‑members. Students can register for $160 (members) or $200 (non‑members). A $50 late registration fee will be added to all registrations received after June 13.
