Holiday give‑aways help D.C.s stand out
This holiday season,
consumers will receive a host of "Season's Greetings" cards from businesses
that want to thank them for being customers and persuade them to return in
2004. The cards will either be tossed as "junk mail" or placed on the side
table with the ones from the paper boy, the beauty salon, the pizza parlor
and the insurance agent.
Unless it's sent with
something that will stand out in the crowd ‑‑ something people will keep and
appreciate. How many people, for instance, would throw away a $10 bill if
you slipped it in with the card? What about a brand new paperback book that
normally sells for $12.95? You're right, most people won't throw away
something with that kind of value. Instead, they'll read the book and either
keep it or pass it along to someone else.
That's why giving a
copy of "Chiropractic First," or "Chiropractic Works!" is so effective as a
holiday give‑away. It's the kind of "gift" that makes a great impression,
and is retained long after the ornaments are packed away. Each time people
see the book, they'll think of the chiropractor who sent it (and remember
they need to set an appointment for an adjustment!)
That's why
"Chiropractic First," and "Chiropractic Works!" have become the most
successful patient education materials ever published.
So far, more than 1.5
million copies have been sold and distributed. Assuming an average
readership of about three persons per book, the books have educated some
four and a half MILLION people about chiropractic. If only 20% of them
decided to give chiropractic a try (or returned as wellness patients), the
books, authored by Dr. Terry A. Rondberg, D.C. and Timothy Feuling, would
have generated about 900,000 patients.
If you had been giving
them out to current and prospective patients, you could have shared in that
bounty, the way Richard DeLisle, D.C., did. "Our first order of 100
'Chiropractic First' books has already produced over 50 new patients for our
office," Dr. DeLisle reported.
Jeffrey Swella, D.C.,
had similar results. "'Chiropractic First' is truly a must read for new
patient education. Within one week of giving this book to patients and new
patients, my practice has increased literally 50% and my passion for
chiropractic has increased 10 fold," he reported
"Chiropractic First,"
by Dr. Terry A. Rondberg, president of the World Chiropractic Alliance and
publisher of The Chiropractic Journal, explains in lay terms how
chiropractic uses the body's own healing power to: optimize health and
wellness naturally; avoid unnecessary surgery and dangerous drugs; provide
safe, natural childbirth and healthy babies; and extend and improve life.
Chapters cover research
and education, chiropractic for children and the elderly, the Wilk case, and
much more. It's an ideal introduction to chiropractic that excites readers
and convinces them that chiropractic is an effective means of reaching
higher levels of health.
The book has been well
received by the public, rating 4 1/2 out of 5 stars from Amazon.com readers!
One reader, from Fountain Valley, Calif., noted: "My Chiropractor gave me
this book for Christmas. I quite enjoyed it. It makes a lot of sense and I
look forward to better health through my Chiropractic treatments." Another
reader, from Dallas, says, "This book is clear, concise and
non‑confrontational, but presents the point of chiropractic in a
non‑threatening way. It makes sense and is easy to read while very
informative at the same time."
"Chiropractic Works!"
by Timothy J. Feuling, vice president of the World Chiropractic Alliance and
president of Chiropractic Benefit Services, spotlights more than 200
celebrities, entertainers, and professional and Olympic athletes who have
used chiropractic, proving to readers that chiropractic is a totally
accepted and often preferred method of health care.
"Chiropractic Works!"
also contains documented case histories and personal stories from people all
over America
who have benefitted from chiropractic. Readers can check the index, look up
a specific health problem, and find hundred of testimonials written by
actual patients.
"Feuling's book has
been an integral part of our office's achieving over 90 new patients a
month," reported Michael P. Grego, D.C. "(It) has helped us achieve this
number of new patients for over six months now. In addition to helping us
increase our number of new patients ('Chiropractic Works!') has helped to
increase our retention rate dramatically."
Scott Marsh, D.C., adds
that the book is, "without a doubt, the single best patient
education/referral tool we have found in 17 years. I especially like the
index which allows the patient to look up case studies of results with
various conditions."
Patients and the public
were equally enthusiastic about the book. Amazon readers rated it 5 out of 5
stars, with a Grand Rapids, Mich., reader noting that the book "Includes
true stories of how people were helped by the safest of all health care
practices, Chiropractic. If you are considering going to a Chiropractor,
then this book is a must read for you and your family." Another reader, from
Sacramento,
Calif., wrote, "Mr. Feuling really brings
this chiropractic thing into perspective. Every person living should read
this book, and then find a good chiropractor."
Even Mark Victor
Hansen, co‑author of the famed "Chicken Soup for the Soul" series, is a fan.
"'Chiropractic First' teaches why everyone needs, wants and ultimately loves
chiropractic. Totally recommended," he said.
Since sending out 100
books at full price would be prohibitively expensive, the books have been
drastically reduced for bulk sales. The books are available in cases of 50,
priced at just $3.00 per book ($150/case plus $22.85 shipping and handling).
The price drops even
more when purchasing two or more cases of either book ‑‑ just $2.00 per
book! ($100/case plus $42.85 for the first two cases, $20 for each
additional case).
