D.C. is honored for work with kids
Kim Gebrosky, D.C.,
from Newport Beach, Calif., has been presented with the "2004 Humanitarian
Award" by The Golden Youth Awards people (GYA) in recognition of his
outstanding contributions to children.
"Dr. Gebrosky and the
company he founded, Nutrition and Kids, addresses the overwhelming epidemic
of obesity and diabetes with kids," stated Boris Brezhnev, GYA executive
producer. "He created an educational '3‑D' animated CD‑ROM game to help
assist children and families everywhere in making wiser food choices." The
game takes players through a challenging series of adventures through fresh
gardens, food pyramids, doctors' offices, and more to help teach them about
nutrition.

Dr. Gebrosky stands with artists Dr. Davood Rostaei and Boris
Brezhnev, Executive Producer for the Golden Youth Awards.
Last year's award went
to Jermaine Jackson for his work with Aids in Africa. "We are so thankful
for all of the support we have received around the country for our cause,
but consider the Golden Youth Award as one of our highest honors," stated
Gebrosky.
Nutrition and Kids has
received widespread supported by various children's and health organizations
across the country.
"During the past three
years Nutrition and Kids has been endorsed by the City of Philadelphia's
Health Czar, included in Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist's Health
Initiative as an example of what the private sector is doing to fight this
epidemic, supported nationally on Congresswoman Mary Bono's website, and
even mentioned in a speech at The Vatican last fall," Gebrosky noted.
"We have earned support
from many other organizations and companies such as Vizari Sport, which
created soccer balls for kids with our characters on them, For a Healthy
America (promotes pedometers to schools), the Western Growers Charitable
Foundation (headed by the current CA Secretary of Agriculture), Wellness
Center Development in Florida, national produce consultants such as
RONPROCON.com, and many more.
Gebrosky's educational
program was featured in the February issue of Science Weekly, which
is distributed to more than 500,000 teachers and schools. His Nutrition and
Kids' "Purpose Driven Foods" teacher's handbook provides for easy classroom
utilization of the game as well.

Kim Gebrosky, D.C., recently brought his message about
nutrition to some 750 children at a Pasadena, Calif. school.
The success of the
company's game spurred the creation of the "Nutrition and Kids Chiropractic
Association" (NAKCA), which hopes to coordinate a national chiropractic
campaign to promote the educational CD to kids and families.
"The epidemic of
obesity and diabetes with kids is devastating this generation and it is up
to all of us to try and do something about it," explained Gebrosky. "NAKCA
is providing the platform to connect our doctors with the community."
NAKCA also provides a
way for chiropractors to work with schools and organizations in their
communities. To learn more about Gebrosky's program, visit
