Patient Media brochures now in Spanish

Patient Media, Inc. has announced Spanish versions of its "What Patients Want to Know About..." brochure series. Translating the 15 brochures was the result of six months of intense work, company officials said.

"Most chiropractors have discovered that Spanish‑speaking patients are loyal and are quick to tell others," observed Patient Media Creative Director William Esteb. "Many Hispanic individuals opt to avoid the medical approach and are quite available to the chiropractic message."

The 15 translated titles include Spanish versions of Adjustments, Back Pain, Children, Chiropractic, Disc, Extremities, Family Care, First Visit, Headaches, Neck Pain, Sciatica, Scoliosis, Spinal Decay, Subluxation and Whiplash.

"The translations took longer than we thought," Esteb admitted. "We wanted them to be understandable for the typical North American patient. So the translations not only needed to be simple, but transcend the subtle differences among Mexican, Puerto Rican, Central American and Columbian Spanish. It was no easy task."

Samples of all titles are available by visiting the Patient Media website at www.patientmedia.com or by calling Patient Media at 800-486‑2337.
