'Apprentice' shares chiropractic passion at SuperConference

A special report from 2X+1 Chiropractic Mastermind program

Fresh from her appearance on the popular reality‑based television show "The Apprentice" starring Donald Trump, chiropractic advocate Jessie Conners shared her love of chiropractic with the attendees of the 2X+1 Chiropractic Mastermind Community Live SuperConference recently.

Her love of chiropractic is deeply rooted. "I received my first adjustment at two years old" an enthusiastic Conners ‑‑ whose father just happens to be a chiropractor ‑‑ told the audience. "Chiropractic is who I am. I embrace the philosophy, the science, the art and especially the passion of chiropractors.

"At age 15 I started working in my dad's clinic," she continued. "On my very first day he handed me a phone book and told me to 'start calling people' and fill my practice." She let her fingers do the walking and let her love of chiropractic do the talking.

"I didn't want to disappoint my dad. So I randomly picked people out of the phone book, called until I had a voice on the other end. My script was basically, 'Hi, I'm Jessie and I'd like to invite you to my dad's office to find out how chiropractic care can benefit you and your family.'" She said, "It was very natural for me to talk about chiropractic care and the chiropractic philosophy in a conversational non selling fashion."

Within no time the clinic grew to an astonishing 600‑700 visits per week due, in large part, to Conners' tenacity, persistence and love for the chiropractic profession.

She cautioned her audience, "There's one catch. It's easy IF it IS who you are. You can't fake enthusiasm and passion. If you have no trouble talking to the cashier in the grocery store, no problem approaching the mother with the sick child, NO FEAR of offering the chiropractic perspective then you can and you will succeed in this profession. If you're telling the truth, then what is there to be afraid of?"

Conners was a surprise special guest for the doctors at the 2X+1 SuperConference. She attended in response to an invitation by 2X+1 co creator Jeff Smith, former executive director of the World Chiropractic Alliance (WCA). Also presenting at the SuperConference were fellow 2X+1 co creators Dr. Tony Palermo, who has served as CEO of the WCA, and Dr. Tom Preston, as well as guests Drs. Patrick Gentempo (CLA) and Sue Brown (BGI Technique).

Highlights included three "firsts" that had never occurred in the chiropractic profession. Along with Conners' appearance, the "firsts" for the profession included:

***  Dr. Palermo's "Music & Message," which wasMay 2004 the first time a world renowned musician AND doctor had combined guitar, song, and spoken message in this unique teaching format. Palermo described his "Loving Yourself Enough To Love Your Practice" presentation this way: "As far as I'm aware, no one else within or outside of the profession of chiropractic is marrying the messages to the songs. I performed a 12-song set throughout the presentation. This allows the audience to be engaged, to sing along while learning. It's not just a lecture ‑‑ it's a memory!"

***  Jeff Smith led doctors in an enlightening disMay 2004cussion that explored for the first time ever what lies "beyond goals" and "beyond certainty" for chiropractic. Smith mapped out a revolutionary philosophy that allows DCs to enjoy amazingly rich lifestyles while serving on a higher and more profound level than ever before.

***  Palermo, Smith, Gentempo, Preston, and Dr. PieMay 2004rre DesLauriers shared a new vision for uniting the chiropractic profession and moving "beyond politics" to a new view of "wellness" that will allow the message of chiropractic to finally achieve its worldwide potential.
