Patient Media announces new brochure

These days, chiropractors (or their staff) are put in the unenviable position of having to explain the severe limitations of the patient's insurance coverage. The new eight‑page Patient Media brochure, “Good News Bad News,” softens the blow and explains the implications of patients' modest coverage.

“Chiropractic coverage in most policies continues to dwindle,” observes Patient Media Creative Director William Esteb, “yet, many patients think it will cover all the care they'll need. Many patients come in waving their membership card, only to learn it will cover just a handful of visits.”

The “Good News Bad News” brochure juxtaposes the good news offered by safe and natural chiropractic care, with the realities of the limited coverage of most policies. The brochure explains to patients that their benefits will likely be exhausted about the time they start feeling better, predisposing them to a subsequent relapse.

“This is a first visit or report of findings handout,” Esteb explains. “It's crucial for patients to understand that they'll likely need more care than their policy will cover. The good news is, as they recover, visit frequency can usually be reduced, making continued care affordable.”

The new “Good News Bad News” brochure is now available from Patient Media, Inc. Preview it online at www.patientmedia.com or call 800‑486‑2337 for a free sample.
