Washington state association names new president
Francis Corbin, DC, a Renton doctor of
chiropractic, was selected as president for the Washington State
Chiropractic Association (WSCA) Board of Directors.
Dr. Corbin was elected at the WSCA Annual
Conference, during which he was also honored with the WSCA's "Volunteer of
the Year" award. The award recognized him as one of seven members of the
WSCA's Professional Development Committee for their extraordinary commitment
and dedication to the chiropractic community.
A graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic
in Davenport, Iowa, Corbin has been in practice for 27 years. He owns and
operates The Corbin Chiropractic Clinic in Renton. His daughter, Kimberly,
also is in practice with him and his son Chad will soon graduate as a
chiropractor.
Corbin, a founding member of the WSCA, was
the recipient of the group's "Pioneer Award" in 2004. and has served on its
Board of Directors and several committees, including the Medicare,
Guidelines and Ethics Committees.
He is a past vice‑president of the
International Chiropractors Association and was voted 1999 Chiropractor of
the Year by the ICA membership. Corbin was also on the Chiropractic
Disciplinary Board for eleven years, a position appointed by the Governor.
