Las Vegas,
the American Black Chiropractic Association inducted Dr. Afolabi‑Rowland as

in 1982, when he realized there was a need for supportive services for
minorities in the chiropractic profession. Dr. Afolabi‑Rowland is an
holistic chiropractic physician practicing in
New Jersey.
The first
African‑American woman to graduate from the University of Bridgeport,
College of Chiropractic (December 1995), she has an extensive science
background, with studies from Kean State University, Bloomfield College,
Essex County College and Montclair State University, where she was an
adjunct professor for several years. A former New Jersey school teacher, she
received her undergraduate and masters degrees from William Paterson College
of New Jersey.

and lectured to Japanese students from the Natural Academy of Chiropractic
in Tokyo.
Author of many articles
on the benefits of chiropractic, Dr. Afolabi‑Rowland has lectured all over
the country, helping minorities understand the role they must play in the
welfare of their own health. She is a doctor with dedication and commitment
to chiropractic and holistic health, which is a testament to her delivery of

"Dr. Fa," as she is
fondly known by her patients, states: "The uniqueness of chiropractic is
that it offers a natural approach to health and healing, an approach that we
once had, we lost, and now need to reclaim."
