May 5‑6 are 'red letter days' for profession

There's still time to register for the 2006 World Chiropractic Alliance International Summit, set for May 5‑6 in Washington, DC.

This year, there will be more exciting speakers and offerings than ever before ‑‑ all revolving around the theme, "To Protect & Serve." Many of the profession's most popular speakers are scheduled, as well as some fascinating presenters exclusive to the Summit.

"The WCA is here to protect and serve subluxation‑centered chiropractic around the world," stated Terry A. Rondberg, DC. "The Summit will celebrate the weaving of art, science and philosophy into one great profession."

At the WCA Summit, you'll learn valuable and practical information you can use to build a large, prosperous and evidence‑based practice, such as:

***  Tips on bullet‑proofing your note taking system...

***  Advice on how to attract patients who are interested in long‑term wellness care...

***  Methods of combating anti‑chiropractic articles in the media...

***  Ways to inform patients of the latest research showing the benefits of chiropractic...

***  How you can help change state and federal laws to protect everyone's right to subluxation correction.

One major focus of the event will be how to overcome the perception of chiropractic as "unscientific." We all need to make sure patients and the public realize that chiropractic is based on sound research and that we're working toward expanding our understanding of how subluxations impact all aspects of health and wellness and how chiropractic can help people lead healthier and longer lives.

Plus, you'll be able to spend time in the company of like‑minded doctors who share your passion for subluxation‑based chiropractic. You'll be able to talk openly and fervently about your commitment to BJ's ideals or about what chiropractic really means to you ‑‑ and know that those around you will not only understand, but applaud your convictions!

The Summit will be held at the Marriott at Metro Center, which recently underwent a $7 million guest room renovation, and offers easy access to DC's Metro rail system just outside the hotel.

Registration for doctors is $399 and a spouse or CA may accompany the registered doctor at no extra charge.

Additional non‑DC guests are $125 each. Students may attend for just $99. All registrations include a buffet lunch each day and the special Friday banquet dinner.

Doctors are urged to arrive in Washington a day early and also attend the Chiropractic Coalition Legislative Day. For the third year in a row, the Coalition ‑‑ made up of the World Chiropractic Alliance, the International Chiropractors Association and the Federation of Straight Chiropractors and Organizations ‑‑ will hold this special event at the US Capitol. Hundreds of chiropractors and chiropractic advocates from around the world will converge on Capitol Hill to discuss important legislation that can shape the future course of our profession.

Throughout the day, DCs meet with their senators and representatives to make sure the voice of chiropractic is heard. In addition, key legislators often stop by to address the assembly. In previous years, congressional guest have included Sen. Edward Kennedy, Sen. Orrin Hatch, Rep. Jeb Bradley of New Hampshire, Sen. George Allen of Virginia, Rep. Bob Filner of California, and Rep. Don Manzullo of Illinois.

Participation in the Legislative Day is free and all doctors are invited to participate, regardless of their organizational affiliations.

To register for the Summit, call 800‑347‑1011 or visit www.wcasummit.org for secure online registration.
