Free teleclasses start Feb 27

Chiropractic Benefit Services has announced the return of its free Risk Management Teleclasses, starting with a special presentation on "Avoiding Vicarious Liability Lawsuits," scheduled for Feb. 27, from 1-1:30 am EST (10-10:30 am PST).

The topic is particularly timely in view of the increasing risk of being sued because of the mistakes made by others.

In one case, a Florida DC allowed a newly licensed doctor to lease space in his office. Although the two ran totally separate practices, when the new doctor skipped town with his patients' money, the board complaint was filed against the established doctor since his name was on the door. It cost $ 6,000 to defend the case, and the doctor ended up with a complaint on record with the Florida board.

Are you at risk? How can you protect yourself? You'll learn the answers to these and many other questions during the CBS teleclass, which is offered free to all doctors.

To sign up for the class and obtain the call-in number and access code, contact CBS at 800‑883‑0412.
