Spiritual marketing

by Dr. Mike Reid

Have you ever thought of a patient you haven't seen in awhile, only to find him or her reactivating into your office the next day? Or perhaps you thought of a friend who then suddenly calls you. Some researchers and scientists say we use as little as 10% of our brain's power. Ponder, if you will, the ability to tap into a fraction of the other 90% to use this as a vehicle for marketing.

There are actually four levels to marketing. The first is an active approach, which would include tools such as direct mail, lectures and screenings. The second level is passive and includes building a practice through referrals. The third level deals with the mental aspect, which some may refer to as the "law of attraction." This is the power of thought that states that mutually compatible atoms draw together repeatedly to perform a susceptible material object. In simple metaphysics terminology, 'like attracts like.' Your mind becomes a magnet and attracts whatever corresponds to its ruling state.

In order to maximize the law of attraction you must: a) be in an optimal mental state; b) focus full attention to the idea of serving, helping, giving; and c) have full expectations that your new patient slots and appointment books will fill. If doctors focus on and send out high vibratory thoughts and feelings, they can't help but have a positive effect on people passing through that energy field.

The fourth level of marketing is known as spiritual marketing. This looks at using the spirit as a form of attracting what you desire in life into your very being.

Francis Warner in 1907 described spirit as "a substance which forms itself according to your demands and must have a pattern from which to work. A pan of dough is as willing to be formed into bread as biscuit. It makes little difference to spirit what we demand." Melinda Davis in her book, "The New Culture of Desire," had done a six‑year study for big business to discover what makes people want what they want and do what they do. Her conclusion? "Bliss sells." She discovered that physical survival needs have been overtaken by the need for richer human connection, a more solid sense of self and more spiritual connection.

Spiritual marketing refers to the presence within the universal spirit...the true self. Many authors state that the picture we think, feel and see is reflected into the universal mind and by the natural law of reciprocal action must be returned to us, in either spiritual or physical form.

In his book titled, "Spiritual Marketing," author Joe Vitale outlines five steps to take in order to create a path towards this fourth level marketing:

***  Step #1: Know what you want.

A spin‑off from third level or law of attraction is that you get what you focus on. Each human being is a magnet. Every line and dot in detail of our experience comes by our own attraction. The bottom line, you get what you think of most often.

***  Step #2: Select what you would like to have, be, and do. If you realize you can have anything, be anything or do anything then the question arises, what do you really want? By focusing daily on where you want to go and not where you were or where you are is critical to mastering Step #2.

We create our lives out of perceptions. If we focus on lack, we attract lack. If we focus on riches we get more riches. Our perceptions become a magnet that pulls us in the direction of where we want to go. A study by Brian Tracy found that people who simply wrote down their wants and put them away for a year, 80% of what they wrote down came to be.

***  Step #3: Get clear of your past. The future does not equal the past. It's well known that you are not clear of the past if what you want is a negative, if you don't know what you want, or if you harbor negative feelings and emotions.

***  Step #4: Feel how exciting it would be to have, be, or do what you want.A critical step to spiritual marketing is the state that you are in. A state of love and gratitude is of utmost importance in order to harness spiritual marketing's power. A state of love sends energy to all those around you. A state of gratitude sends thanks to your Creator with all the blessing that you have and all the future blessings that you will receive. These states send off a higher laboratory frequency of energy. By simply changing your energy, you change your signals, which changes your results.

***  Step #5: Surrender. The part of you that wants control is also known as your ego. When you learn to let go and trust that inner voice, that inner guidance, your innate, you'll get what you wanted more often than not, and it will come much easier. Choose what you want and through repetitive visualizing, meditation and prayer, let the universe bring it on to you.
