Paper sign‑in systems cost more than you think!

Submitted by The Electronic Sign‑In Company

We are The Electronic Sign‑In Company and our system, Virtual Sign‑In (VSI), will automate the sign‑in process at your office to make it easier, faster and cheaper for you than a paper system. By automating the signature capture process, your office will become more efficient and effective, which saves time and money.

Here are the features and benefits of the VSI electronic sign‑in system:

-- Effortless method to track patients and visitors to your office

-- Completely eliminates the need for paper sign‑in sheets, although you can easily print the electronic sheets if necessary

-- In a world of increasing technology VSI will signal to your patients that you embrace technology and are an advanced healthcare facility

-- Allows CAs to better manage patient flow through the office

-- Provides a system to be proactive when the office is running behind

-- Automatically time stamps every signature so the issue of who arrived first is removed

-- Helps streamline your check‑in procedure so that patients are with the doctor or treatment providers more quickly

-- Immediate access to the totals of patient visits for the day and by treatment providers

-- Electronically stored records are always and easily accessible in seconds

-- Frees up the time and space from storing hundreds of patient‑sign sheets every year

-- Customizable Office Policy/Waiver screen ensures every patient reviews your office policy and tracks whether they accept it or decline it

-- Electronic records are audit proof in verifying patient visits for insurance companies

-- Easy to reconcile with your billing system ... no more missed billings

-- Saves the cost of purchasing, maintaining and storing paper

-- Keeps patient visits private and complies with privacy guidelines

-- An optional viewer feature allows doctors and office managers to monitor patient check‑in from computer screens in the back offices, so as to provide additional support in the main reception area when necessary

Virtual Sign‑In comes in two versions that were especially designed for chiropractic offices:

1. STANDARD VERSION‑‑ For the practice with one doctor. The STANDARD VERSION of VSI includes the software and LCD signature capture terminal that time stamps each signature and applies a name, location or provider of treatment or service next to the signature, along with the ability to add personal notes to individual signatures. You can view total patients or visitors signed in, query and print signatures quickly and easily.

2. ADVANCED VERSION ‑‑ For the practice where there are several doctors and/or service providers. The ADVANCED VERSION of VSI includes the software with the latest backlit, LCD screen technology that is capable of handling multiple providers, services, or categories and comes with an electronic customizable/printable office policy form for patients or clients to sign and accept. A wait time threshold feature allows users to be notified when a patient has exceeded the established "wait time" that you've set. You can check off patient signatures as they go to the doctor or other service provider. You can view total patients signed in, totals of providers or services, query and print quickly and easily. The Advanced software has an optional feature that allows viewing on multiple work stations in a network, but there is a small extra charge for this.

VSI has been automating the sign‑in process for chiropractors since 2002 and has many offices around North America using the system. Tim Igielski, DC and his Office Manager Troy Butler, both of Seattle, were the driving forces behind the creation of VSI. VSI was purchased by Compass Marketing International in 2004 and today, Troy Butler directs the US operations of VSI from Seattle and has a Regional Sales Office in Nashville. Brian Crombleholme is the general manager of the company which has its corporate headquarters in Victoria, BC.
