Technique‑specific brochures released by William Esteb

The new First Chiropractic Adjustments brochures from Patient Media, Inc. are designed to help patients relax, enjoy and respond positively to their first adjustments.

'Without the proper language and establishing appropriate expectations, patients are tempted to use words like "snap," "crack," "pop" to describe their adjustments," observed Patient Media Creative Director William Esteb. "It was about time to create a patient handout that describes the major techniques, what patients can expect from their first couple of adjustments and how they can support the DC's care at home."

The first six in the series explain Activator Methods, CBP, Diversified, Gonstead, SOT and Thompson techniques. Each version describes the three possible reactions to the patient's first adjustments: feel worse, feel great and slower progress.

"Ideally you'd want to pre‑frame your adjustments with this handout," Esteb continued. "But even if you present it after their first adjustment, you're helping patients attach the proper meaning and majesty to their adjustments."

Free brochure samples may be requested from (and read online at) www.patientmedia.com or call Patient Media, Inc. at 800‑486‑2337.
