Georgia DC publishes 'Success' book

Richard A. Franks, DC, a member of the World Chiropractic Alliance who practices in Greensboro, Georgia, has published a book, "Prepare for Success!" which the author says can serve as a "powerful and practical guide especially for chiropractors and their staff to use in building and maintaining a successful practice based on the lasting principles of service and caring."

Dr. Franks, who runs a national chiropractic referral service of more than 4,000 DCs, is president of Prepare for Success! Consulting Services. The book is a compilation of many of the success techniques he has taught to chiropractor clients.

The volume contains chapters on: "What Is Your Dream," "The Power Of Other People's Minds," "Giving That Little Extra," "The Winning Personality," "Developing A Positive Mental Attitude," "Get Excited About What You Do," "Using Self‑Discipline To Stay On Purpose," "Where Motivation Really Comes From," "Creating Exactly What You Want," "Concentrating Your Energy," "Focused Planning," "Doing What is Right," and "Getting in Tune with Innate and Never Give Up."

Franks graduated with honors from Life Chiropractic College in 1979 and has practiced in Georgia for more than 25 years. He has lectured at Life and served as vice‑president of the Georgia Council of Chiropractic. During his career, he learned from many of the top chiropractic leaders, including Drs. Sid Williams and D.D. Humber, and tapped into his own individual talents to achieve successful practices.

"As time went on though," he admits, "I began to realize that I needed to do more o fulfill my own potential and to get chiropractic to even more people. I thought that if I could get others to duplicate what I was doing, we could really begin servicing many more people than I possibly could by myself."

Spurred by this realization, he began training associates and quickly learned, as he puts it, "all associates are not created equal. I discovered that many doctors did not share the same dream I had. Not only that, I realized that many of them had no dream at all other than to get a job to pay off their loans. It was during this time that I also realized that the only way a doctor could increase his "success consciousness" was to literally change his thinking process and consequently his actions."

His book is intended as a way to help create the dream and the "success consciousness" that helps all DCs, he states, "build a much larger practice that will not roller coaster and will not be determined by how many promotions you had this week."

The softcover trade publication book is available directly from Dr. Franks for $29.95 (shipping included). All books are personally autographed by the author.
