WCA offers 'JobTarget' site
Hundreds of
chiropractors around the country are looking for jobs as associates or
positions in health care firms. Hundreds of companies and practice owners
are looking for qualified DCs to fill vacant positions. Starting this month,
the World Chiropractic Alliance (WCA) is going to help put the two together!
The WCA has partnered
with JobTarget, an Internet‑based job board management company, to power an
online job board that allows chiropractors to post their resumes for free.
Along with a resume bank, the site offers listings of career opportunities
in chiropractic and related fields.
To visit the job board,
go to the WCA's website at www.worldchiropracticalliance.org and click on
JobTarget on the right hand navigation bar, under WCA Links.
The service offers
chiropractors and other site users a number of advanced features, including
a Job Alert system that notifies job seekers by e‑mail of new job
opportunities that match their search criteria and an anonymous resume
feature that enables job seekers to list their experience and qualifications
in a protected environment.
By giving both active
and passive job seekers the ability to post their resumes anonymously, the
JobTarget service allows job seekers to stay connected to the employment
market while maintaining full control of their confidential information.
In addition to helping
DCs, the site will be used by chiropractic office staff personnel including
CAs, billing clerks, receptionists, and other administrative workers to look
for suitable positions in chiropractic offices.
JobTarget is an
industry leader in job board development and management. The company
independently manages more than 350 online job boards for societies,
associations, newspapers, publishers, and online entrepreneurs. JobTarget's
clients include the American Society of Clinical Pathology, the Society of
Manufacturing Engineers, the Institute of
Industrial Engineers,
and the Minneapolis CityPages. JobTarget custom designs its job boards to
fit into the client's website and makes each board specific to the client's
users.
"We're pleased to be
able to offer this valuable service to the profession," stated Terry A.
Rondberg, DC, WCA president. "For many chiropractors, particularly new
graduates, this site will be the perfect way to search out positions as
associates or staff doctors. It'll give them, and the companies and offices
looking for DCs, a chance to learn more about each other in a confidential
environment. Before long, this will be the number one job clearing house of
the profession."
