The energy of water
by Brian D. Foltz
From ancient holy water
to the quest for the legendary "Fountain of Youth," humans have long sought
to benefit from Earth's most energetic waters. Energy is the most
fundamental component in the universe and water is its most effective
carrier. Recent progress in the emerging sciences of energy medicine and
biophysics sheds new light on the role of living energy in every aspect of
our well being. Compared to our vast knowledge of the physical sciences, we
know very little about how the energy of water affects our health.
Probably the most
studied yet least understood of all substances, water itself is a very pure
form of energy. Nobody has actually seen an H20
molecule. A single H20 molecule rarely
exists in a liquid state because water molecules bond into larger structures
referred to as "water clusters." At any given time, about half of bulk water
is made up of bonded water clusters and the other half consists of the ionic
components of water, Hydrogen and Hydroxyl ions. The tendency of water
molecules to maintain certain structures is strongly influenced by the
energy it is exposed to. Water with more energy that resonates at higher
frequencies tends to have smaller water clusters, which may improve its
performance in the body.
Healing waters
There are about a dozen
waters all around the world containing unusual ‑‑ even miraculous ‑‑ healing
properties. These naturally occurring waters have different energetic
properties from other waters, including surface tension (wetness),
viscosity, boiling point, specific gravity (density), hydrogen bonding
angle, pH, vibrational frequencies, conductivity, zeta potential, Oxidation
Reduction Potential (ORP), oxygen content, micro‑clustering, etc.
The exact properties of
these 12 different healing waters are not identical. There are healing
waters with high surface tension and low surface tension, high ORP and low
ORP, various pH levels, etc. One or two isolated properties do not create
ideal water for health. According to a renowned water researcher, who
studied all the known healing waters on the planet more than 30 years ago,
"It is the ability to maintain and enhance a balanced dynamic state of
equilibrium between all properties of water that make it so [healing]."
As water makes its way
to the surface in these unique areas of the world, it passes through very
intense energy fields that change the energy of the water. This changes the
alignment of the water molecules and ions and change the way they interact
with each other. Unfortunately, when these waters are removed from their
energy sources, the healing properties are lost.
The most famous of
these healing waters is in Lourdes,
France. Millions of people have
visited Lourdes to benefit from its
water. The Hunza people from the Himalayan Mountains of Pakistan live to an
average age of over 100 years. Many attribute their long life to the highly
energized water they drink, taken directly from ancient mountain glaciers.
Energy is senior to
matter
The traditional
approach of biochemistry and physics has brought about a very comprehensive
knowledge of matter. Although matter is more visible and easier to
demonstrate and manipulate, it's only part of the equation of life.
Biophysics is an emerging science that studies living matter in its
entirety, including the influence of energy. By including the study of
living energy, biophysics takes a truly holistic approach towards
understanding nature.
The energy of water and
how it affects the body must be considered within the context of biophysics.
This is in stark contrast to mainstream chemistry and physics, which focus
primarily on the study of "dead" matter. To most of them, water is simply H20
and that's it, just as it says in their textbooks.
Einstein proved through
physics that everything in the material world is made up of energy and every
substance radiates energy. All substances, whether in the form of gas,
liquid or solid objects are simply different forms of condensed energy.
In 1984, the Swiss
atomic physicist Dr. Carlos Rubbia, was awarded the Nobel Prize for
discovering a formula that calculated it takes approximately one billion
units of energy to produce just one unit of matter. If energy creates
matter, then by definition energy is senior to matter. This incredible
discovery illustrates the importance of energy and potential inadequacy of
any natural science that does not include the influences of living energy on
matter.
Although denied and
ridiculed at first, the existence of the human energy field is now an
accepted scientific fact. There is a complex system of interacting energy
flows that overlay your physical body. Some believe this to be the most
important discovery of the century. However, the challenge of energy
medicine and biophysics is extreme.
Unlike matter, energy
can't be perceived directly. For example, electricity can't be seen but we
know it exists when a light bulb shines. And some forms of body energy
appear purely spiritual in nature and do not easily lend themselves to
scientific proof. The therapeutic power of the human spirit and its ability
to produce energy are undeniable, yet its many manifestations are difficult
to explain in physical terms or prove scientifically.
The energetics of
hydration
Water is the ultimate
carrier of energetic information. It holds and transfers energy it contacts,
in the form of vibrational frequencies. Cellular health depends upon water
for efficient cellular communication. When water is contaminated, the
energetic signals emitted by toxins in the water interfere with the other
signals being transmitted.
This dramatically
compromises water's ability to accurately transmit vital information. This
ability of water to "remember" is why removing toxins from water by reverse
osmosis or other unnatural methods is not good enough. Even though the water
may become virtually toxin free, residual energetic effects of those toxins
remain in the water.
A healthy body is
composed of about 70% water. Much of this water is bound with other
substances such as protein structures, including the DNA
itself. Optimal hydration requires a perfectly balanced flow of free water
in the body, located inside and outside your cells. The water outside your
cells (extracellular) largely determines the vitality and health of those
cells (their ability to produce energy). Dr. Alexis Carrell, winner of a
Nobel Prize in physiology or medicine, said this about extracellular water:
"The cell is immortal. It is merely the fluid in which it floats that
degenerates."
Extracellular water is
more mobile and receptive to energetic influences than other water in the
body. While many factors determine its energy level (health) including diet,
exercise, stress, etc., two primary factors influence the energy of your
extracellular fluid: electrolytes and water.
Assuming you have
sufficient electrolytes, the water you drink is absorbed very fast and
quickly communicates the energy it carries to your extracellular water. If
its energetic properties are different from what your extracellular fluid
needs, it can't optimize hydration. This is why the energy of the water you
drink is usually the primary factor that determines your ability to optimize
hydration.
Drinking plenty of
natural water that hasn't been processed, "purified" or manipulated by
artificial methods is vital to better hydration and optimal health.
