The seven laws of the power of attraction
by Dr. Mike Reid
Do you remember
graduating from chiropractic college and dreaming about having that perfect
practice? You had a visual of what it looked like... the layout, the
location of your clinic, and perhaps even the number of patients you
adjusted per week. And where are you today? Is your practice, your house,
your life as you had visualized it? Chances are it's fairly close.
And how did you come by
it? Quantum physicists are now discovering that thoughts ‑‑ manifested into
feelings and resonated in a vibration of love and gratitude, fused with
action steps can help you create the life of your dreams. I want to share
with you seven spiritual laws of the power of attraction adopted from "Power
vs. Force" by Hawkins, "The Power of Intention and Inspiration" by Dyer, and
concepts from "The Secret" by Byrne. I teach these concepts to my doctors.
We call this "Fourth Level" coaching." That is using the power of your mind
to manifest your destiny.
1. Know what you
want. Do you have a vision?
Have you written it down and created a vision board so you can see it
daily? There's a common term in coaching that we use: you get what you focus
on. When Jack Nicklaus is asked what allows him to be at the top of his
game, an answer often given is: "I see the ball rolling into the cup from
tee off to putt." A Harvard study of 100 graduates found that those people
who wrote down what they wanted in life (3%) and saw it daily achieved more
than the remaining 97% of the population who hadn't written down their
"dream list." I want you to not only write your dream list, but create a
collage of everything you want to be, do, and have.
2. Transcend
limitations in thoughts Know
this one thing: it's impossible to fail if you have a complete absence of
doubt concerning your ability to create or have anything you want. You
must monitor your thoughts that put bonds on your ability to manifest.
Many of us have been conditioned to not do this, or not do that, that
started from childhood. Know what you want, say "yes" to life, and always
use power affirmations in your daily self‑talk. When I start my day, my
positive self‑talk includes: "I am the greatest chiropractor." "I am a
healer." "I am a visionary." "I am a leader." And one last thing, promise
yourself that you'll never hang out with anyone more messed up than you are!
3. Be connected
to your universe. Are we as
humans having a spiritual experience, or as many sages would suggest,
spirits having a human experience? We must have an understanding and faith
that we are spiritual beings who are a piece of an entire bigger picture
with a purpose in life. Have faith that the universe will provide an
abundance of patients and wealth. As chiropractors, we already know that the
universal intelligence, lies within us as innate intelligence, causes out
heart to beat, digests our food, and allows us to think as free people. In
order to be connected, we need to be in a state of inspiration... to be
"inspired" or "in spirit." We've got to get back into a vibrational
alignment where limitations of thought don't exist. This means dumping the
ego and pride and sharing our gifts of servitude with the universe.
4. Manage your
state of consciousness.
Anthony Robbins speaks of managing your state. From a physical perspective,
he's referring to your language, your body's physiology, and your focus and
beliefs. David Hawkins, from a level of consciousness, states that we must
always be in a state of love and gratitude in order to empower others and
ourselves. I firmly believe this, because when we're in a state of fear,
worry, jealousy or hatred we vibrate at a different frequency that will not
attract from the universe, but will repel from it, that which we want ‑‑ or
attract more of that which we don't want. Dr. Wayne Dyer, in his book "Power
of Intention," describes that we must always be in a state of bliss in order
to leave the world of doubt, anxiety, fear and impossibility. One day during
one of my meditative states, I had such a strong connection to universal
forces, more than 22 people actually called in on that Monday morning as new
patients. This was all Fourth Level marketing.
5. Listen to your
innate. Have you ever taken a
test and changed your answer knowing that your gut instinct was right the
first time? When we review our test results, we're always regretting
changing our initial answer. I believe your innate is the subconscious that
really supersedes the conscious mind which is often polluted by the
"educated person." When we're out of or lacking our proper state management,
fear and anxiety overshadow love and gratitude, and this prevents us from
being connected and listening to our true innate inner‑voice.
6. Spend 10‑15
minutes daily on meditation.
Find yourself a quiet room or place in the woods where you can become
central with yourself and release all doubts, worries, and fears. Let go of
ideas of time, space, and linear direction. Sit in a lotus position with
your palms opened up. See yourself as one and the same with the universe.
Center your internal self to manifest your external world versus allowing
stresses from your external world to create chaos in your internal being.
The universe works on laws of attraction. Shift your focus from one of
desire to serving others, from Us to Them, and simply ask, "How may I
share?" When we want more for ourselves, the solution is really to do more
for society and the universal forces will provide us with abundance.
7. Overcome
cosmic fluff. The key to
overcoming distractions and wandering thoughts is to first focus on
something that allows you to stay in a state of connection, such as a
candle. All you need to do is:
*** Ask how you can
share your talents;
*** Receive and be
open to whatever the universe dishes out to you;
*** Be patient, the
universe works on its own time, not on ours.
*** Then, listen to
that little voice of the innate that speaks to you. It's revealing the
answers.
