American Black Chiropractic Association names new president
Corrine C. Morgan, DC,
was elected president of the American Black Chiropractic Association (ABCA)
at the association's national convention in Anaheim,
California.
Dr. Morgan, a graduate
of Palmer
College, has been in private practice for
more than 25 years and has served as an inspiration for the Black
chiropractic community since completing her post‑graduate education in 1985.
Through an extensive speaking schedule at major schools around the country,
Morgan is personably responsible for 95 students who are now practicing
doctors of chiropractic. She received the ABCA's top honor of Chiropractor
of the Year in 2003.
"Her tireless efforts
to promote chiropractic as a healing art have not been limited by race or
nation," the organization stated in making the announcement of her
induction. "Dr. Morgan looks forward to increasing the profession's
awareness of the ABCA during the course of her term."
The ABCA also announced
its 2007 Annual National Convention theme, "Building for the Future" to be
held in Little Rock, Ark., Aug. 15‑19. The profession and community‑at‑large
