American Black Chiropractic Association names new president

Corrine C. Morgan, DC, was elected president of the American Black Chiropractic Association (ABCA) at the association's national convention in Anaheim, California.

Dr. Morgan, a graduate of Palmer College, has been in private practice for more than 25 years and has served as an inspiration for the Black chiropractic community since completing her post‑graduate education in 1985. Through an extensive speaking schedule at major schools around the country, Morgan is personably responsible for 95 students who are now practicing doctors of chiropractic. She received the ABCA's top honor of Chiropractor of the Year in 2003.

"Her tireless efforts to promote chiropractic as a healing art have not been limited by race or nation," the organization stated in making the announcement of her induction. "Dr. Morgan looks forward to increasing the profession's awareness of the ABCA during the course of her term."

The ABCA also announced its 2007 Annual National Convention theme, "Building for the Future" to be held in Little Rock, Ark., Aug. 15‑19. The profession and community‑at‑large is invited to attend. For further information about the ABCA, visit www.abcachiro.com or call convention chairman Dr. Rodney Williams at (501) 227‑9766.
