ABCA picks new president
During its 27th
national convention in August, the American Black Chiropractic Association (ABCA)
elected board member Rodney Williams, DC, as Executive President. Dr.
Williams is a 2000 graduate of Logan College and has served as treasurer
under the last three presidents.
Also elected were:
Juneau Robbins, DC, Executive Vice President; Valda Dawson, DC, Executive
Secretary; Tyran Mincey, DC, Executive Treasurer; and Quentin Brisco, DC,
Executive Parliamentarian.

"We have a board of
dedicated and proven leadership and I am excited about the future of the
ABCA under this current administration," said Williams. "We will get to work
immediately to make the ABCA more visible in the chiropractic profession as
well as join other national organizations in promoting chiropractic," he
stated.
The organization has
student chapters at most chiropractic colleges. Annually, it awards
scholarships to student members who make application and exemplify the aims
and goals of the ABCA.
The ABCA also
recognized Romanuel Washington, DC, one of the oldest members of the
organization who still attends the convention regularly. Speakers for
convention workshops included: Terry Rondberg, DC, of the World Chiropractic
Alliance; George Chandler, DC of Catchfire Coaching; and Dr. Washington.
The 2009 convention
will be held in Charlotte, NC, June 25-28. For more information on the ABCA,
