Quixote symposium focuses on research
Quixote Software
company's recent one‑day Business Symposium marked what company officials
are calling "a milestone in the company's history" as it unveiled its global
research and clinical science component. Quixote is already considered one
of the most powerful chiropractic office software packages.
The symposium featured
speakers presenting information on a variety of important and timely issues
facing the chiropractic profession, including the benefits derived from
computations, extrapolations and methodologies of chiropractic care and the
research data acquired through Quixote. Also addressed was the need for
office software that is fully compliant with all HIPAA patient
confidentiality regulations.
The day‑long event,
held in San Diego, attracted doctors from around the country who were
seeking high‑tech but easy‑to‑use tools for developing and building their
practices and dealing with the increasingly complex tasks associated with
third party payer insurance reimbursement. Quixote staff members provided
demonstrations to allow chiropractors a hands‑on experience using the
software.
President and founder
of the World Chiropractic Alliance (WCA), Terry A. Rondberg, DC, opened the
symposium with a passionate plea for increased attention to chiropractic
research.
"Chiropractic has been
around for 112 years, yet, there is still a dearth of research supporting
and proving what we already know ‑‑ that chiropractic works," he said.
"Today, that's going to change. Just by utilizing Quixote, empirical data
will be automatically collected and compiled. The end result will be a true
validation of chiropractic care."
Nancy Smith, president
and CEO of Quixote focused her
attention on the capabilities of the Quixote software as a complete office
management solution.
"We've cracked the code
in software for chiropractors," she explained. "The beauty of our software
is its simplicity. Through our exceptional interface and dynamic system,
which utilizes automatic memory management, we're able to reduce on‑screen
clutter and deliver an optimized real‑time solution ‑‑ something the
chiropractors have always needed. I think it's safe to say, that Quixote is
taking the chiropractic industry to new heights and will quickly become the
de facto standard in chiropractors' offices."
Also making a
presentation at the symposium was well‑known defender of chiropractic care,
Mr. Carlos F. Negrete, Esq., who spoke to the legal benefits of both the
Quixote system and of chiropractic research in courtroom settings.
