When you're tired of settling for second best

by Dr. Terry A. Rondberg

Not long ago, the only "instrumentation" chiropractors needed was their own two hands. We palpated for subluxations, conducted relatively simple range-of-motion or leg length exams, and -- if we were trained well and skilled -- detected subluxations and corrected them.

Later, we obtained x-ray machines that helped verify our visual and manual findings (although we never relied solely on this machine and still put our trust in our sense of touch and sight).

That, however, was before the days of outcome measurements, evidence-based practices, reliance on third-party payers, and an elevated appreciation for the science as well as the art and philosophy of chiropractic.

Today, in order to deliver the safest and most effective chiropractic care to our patients, and satisfy the more stringent requirements of the insurance industry, the government, and the courts, we have to go beyond just 'feeling' for subluxations.

We need the powerful instrumentation that not only aids us in detecting subluxations, but provides an accurate, reliable and stable outcome assessment system with built-in record keeping capabilities.

And, since chiropractic is the BEST health care system in the world, we need the best instrumentation available to us. Not the second or third best. In short, we need Quixote Instrumentation.

One of the primary reasons is that Quixote Instrumentation is the world's most sophisticated and flexible chiropractic assessment and biofeedback system. It's a major improvement over older technology, providing vastly more information than ever before possible.

In addition to SEMG, inclinometry and infrared temperature evaluations, it provides you with the ability to perform stress assessments and biofeedback.

Since it was developed by the experts at Quixote, naturally it translates all that data into detailed reports that can help you validate and document all your clinical decisions. This can literally mean your practice's survival in the case of a lawsuit or board complaint.

For me, of course, another reason to choose Quixote Instrumentation is that it's the only system that allows field doctors to participate in a global research project that will prove the effects of vertebral subluxation and chiropractic care. The ultimate goal is to accumulate and analyze test data from all Quixote users to demonstrate the efficacy of chiropractic, to obtain both industry-wide acceptance and insurance reimbursements.

Earlier chiropractic instrumentation was bulky, awkward, and hard to use. I often wonder how many doctors (and their staff members) simply gave up trying to figure out their new equipment and how many giant pieces of equipment are sitting in a corner somewhere, collecting dust. I know I've seen the classified ads for them. I checked the classified ads on one popular Internet site and here are some of the actual descriptions for SEMG machines on sale:

"Brand-new condition; rarely used."

"Unit is like brand new, Less than 2 years old and used only about a dozen times."

"All in great condition, dynamic SEMG never used."

"Great condition -- rarely used."

None of them was Quixote Instrumentation by the way!

There are far too many other reasons for choosing Quixote Instrumentation for me to go into detail here. But if you want to move up from second or third best and equip your office with the most powerful tool you'll ever own, give Quixote a call at 866-760-1048, or visit the website at www.QuixoteSoftware.net. Find out for yourself why Quixote Instrumentation is fast building a reputation as the most accurate, flexible and reliable system on the market.
