Your thinking

by Dr. Ogi Ressel

Your thoughts determine your life, so let's chat about how you think for a moment.

Emerson once said: "The precursor to every action is a thought."

Thoughts are energy. You want abundance in your life, you want that kids and family practice, you want serenity, you want peace, you want prosperity, you want radiant health -- you want all the things you desire. Right? Yet, you focus on the fact that it will never happen. You believe it will never happen to you, because it has never happened in the past so why would it now?

You're right! It won't ever happen. Why? Because that's what you believe. You measure your present and future life situation by your past performance and your past experience -- and it hasn't been good.

I'm sure you've heard this: "What you see in the Universe sees you." In other words, it's a conscious choice. Your life is the result of how you choose to think. The bottom line is that you are the master of your destiny -- with God's help.

Einstein once said that every person needs to make a very important decision in life. Either you live in a hostile universe, or a friendly one. If you live in a hostile universe, you're always looking for ways of being offended... being wronged... being a loser or a victim... of sabotaging yourself, and of never having. If, on the other hand, you live in a friendly universe, wonderful things always seem to happen to you and your friends always say, "He's such a lucky person."

Well, I don't believe there is any such animal as LUCK. It's simple anticipation. It's you anticipating "wonderfulness" all the time! It's you living your dream life because that's what you expect with every fiber of your being. You need to think, "It's on its way." You need to say to yourself, "I'm in a state of anticipation for something I'm creating in my life!"

Whenever we passionately believe in something that doesn't exist, we create it. There's nothing that can stop someone who believes in an idea. Look at DD Palmer for a moment. He believed in chiropractic -- an idea whose time had arrived! He created a profession that's helped millions and, just imagine, you're part of it! His idea totally went against the grain of thought of the time, and still does.

How weird is this concept to the average earthling. In order to be healthy you need to go to a person who'll "crack your back." And you have to pay that person for the service... AND make sure all your family members are cracked as well! Sounds bizarre doesn't it? But, that's what we teach our patients, isn't it?

You're beginning to realize that you're different. You didn't choose to be a chiropractor. Instead, the profession chose you. I hope I am getting through to you that you need to be on purpose and anticipate an amazing life. When you're on purpose and have direction, you discover you're a far greater person than you ever dreamed yourself to be (echoes of Wayne Dwyer).

Apathy and inertia won't do it. Feeling sorry for yourself won't either! In order to win this "game" of life, you need to get out there and decide to win. Decide that you'll have that amazing children's and family practice that you've always wanted. Decide you'll be the best doctor your community has ever seen. Ever.

Your desire needs to come from the very bottom of your soul and ooze from every pore in your body. It needs to permeate every fiber of your being. It needs to be woven into the tapestry of your life.

Einstein also said: "Nothing changes until something moves." So... move! Decide that your thinking needs to change, that you'll no longer make excuses for yourself -- even the really good ones! No more whining, no windging, no hoping, no dreaming, no prisoners, and no excuses. Decide you're tired of being average. Decide you want to learn to be the very best. And if you're not sure how to do it, please feel very welcome to contact me. I'll show you how.
