What's your percentage?

The shortest distance between two people is... laughter!

So, let me start with this.

Q: How many chiropractors does it take to change a light bulb?

A: One. But at least 38 visits!

Okay, hopefully now that you're smiling, let's get to the "meat" of what it's gonna take to succeed in today's economy. The spirit of fear is on everyone's mind -- even chiropracTORs are not immune. Can I throw some observations your way that will inspire, re-align and encourage you to grow again as a person and a principled chiropracTOR?

First, I gotta say to you that as a Christian my advice will be Spirit-led, and biblical in nature. I can't help that. Don't get offended and see if there's a "gem" you can take for yourself.

Start with taking back the reins. You're more than a conqueror, so stand up straight, get a backbone and quit letting others tell you how to practice!

Since you innately know what to do, why let some guideline book, insurance company, or past failure experience control your actions and future? Your practice, life, and God's kingdom are all built on principles and sacrifice! Your rebirth and new growth start with "sacrificing" and "sowing a seed." In faith. Giving up something you want for something you want more! Ego, time, effort and money are the four big requirements (sacrifices). You must sacrifice to grow beyond where you are. And, don't forget, you're either swimming or drowning so… don't think we can just float!

Also, what you've done up until now got you here, but may not get you there! And remember, you are your own best asset (and worst enemy!). Investing in God's kingdom and letting God direct you to a transformational change (by the renewing of our mind) is guaranteed to pay you back a hundredfold.

So, here's a thought. At the root of fear is the love of self (ego) therefore, kill the ego = die to self = die to fear = NO FEAR!

Read that sentence at least three times until it sinks in. Because real freedom and success require us to "deny ourselves" and "die to fear."

Here's another truth. Joining God's mission (to save lives) àhigher purpose for living à joy and reward à true success (long term).

Surely by now you've come to know that there's no long term value in a short term fix (meditate on that). By focusing all your efforts on a long term strategy -- how you treat patients, how you treat yourself, and how you think about the future -- you'll make wiser decisions.

I believe:

1. To change the world we have to be willing to see more people. 60,000 DCs aren't enuf to treat 300 million people. (Do the math. Every chiropractor would have to see 5,000 patient visits per week if we adjusted them ALL once a week for life!)

2. We must serve God by serving the world sacrificially (see John 3:16 and John 21:16).

3. We must recruit everyone to God's mission.

4. We must submit and change our thinking to God's way (not our own) -- i.e., follow innate!

When you're more afraid of people dying than your own fear, complacency, failure, doubts, obstacles etc., you will never give up (if you can't yet overcome your fears, be more afraid of their destruction coming than your own issues). The truth must be told. Don't ever water down, twist, soften or distort it (you'll ruin it!) but gently speak from a loving Christian heart, with only God's mission in charge and in mind.

Modern medicine kills more than one million Americans every year (see www.LEF.org ). God and innate heal -- every time, all the time! ChiropracTORS remove the interference between:

***  Producer and product…

***  God's inner healing power and the human body!

Only a proper, specific, principled, corrective adjustment reconnects spiritual and physical, intention and action, purpose and results!

Your decision, right now, to believe, follow and act in accordance with the truth will reflect your successful results.

Immersing myself, studying, and serving with the greatest chiropracTORs on planet earth today (and the past) has shown me a simple formula: The percent you believe, focus and act in "The Principle" x 100 = your weekly practice volume in patient visits!

Examples: If you're one percent in the principle, you see 100pv's/week, five percent focused, 500pv's/week

(10% x 100 = 1,000 pv's/week; 20% x 100 = 2,000 pv's/week; 35% x 100 = 3,500 pv's/week -- this is already being done, by the way!)

Is there a limit? In my mind, NO! Because if and when you're 100% x 100 = 10,000 pv's/week, just get another doctor to join your team and "develop the percentage" in them!

Are you ready for a tough question? Where's your percentage? Does that sting a little bit? I now exceed 10%, though I started at less than one. When I'm ready to submit more, I'll cross 15% soon. And, I know 20%, 30%, and 40% will come when I'm ready!
