New Journal website in works
The Chiropractic
Journal will soon launch a new
website that will provide web exclusive content to complement print
articles, as well as online access to top chiropractic companies.
The professionally
designed site will feature easy navigation and access to the current edition
as well as archived articles dating from 1986. "We opted for a clean, modern
design, with minimal clutter," stated Terry A. Rondberg, DC, publisher of
The Chiropractic Journal. "Feedback from Internet users convinced us
that most sites, particularly for newspapers, are far too 'busy' and hard to
navigate. People can't find what they're looking for and are distracted by
non-essential elements."
In addition to an
archive of articles published in the print version, the new website will
feature web exclusive content that can add depth to the printed stories.
This could be anything from additional photos to documentation and
background material, as well as links to other Internet sites containing
related content.
For the first time, the
Journal site will also offer information on and links to companies of
interest to chiropractors. "We're being selective about the number and type
of advertising banners we will have on the site," Dr. Rondberg explained.
"It's important for readers to be able to easily contact companies they're
interested in, without the site becoming a jumble of flashing ads."
Rondberg anticipates
that the new site will be ready for its debut at the end of the summer. The
URL for the new site is
www.TheChiropracticJournal.com .
