bulletDCs need to examine their attachments -- A letter to the profession by Dr. Richard Barwell, World Chiropractic Alliance President -- One thing I can absolutely guarantee is that there's never a dull moment within the chiropractic profession! It seems that if you put two chiropractors in a room, you'll have a disagreement. Is it because we tend to think outside the typical concepts or that our profession appeals to rugged individualists? Either way, we seem to have more challenges than we see in dentistry or medicine, especially when the going gets tough.
bulletFamed runner joins marathon -- The Non-Profit Chiropractic Organization (NPCO) announced last month that world-class runner Reza Baluchi will run as a member of its team for this October's Bank of America Chicago Marathon. A life-long fan and supporter of chiropractic, Baluchi is known for his Los Angeles to Ground Zero (New York) run in 2003 that he dubbed, "Run 4 Peace." The journey covered 3,720 miles over a period of 124 days. In 2008, Baluchi ran the perimeter of the United States (11,500 miles) in 202 days, averaging 57 miles per day.
bulletNew Journal website in works -- The Chiropractic Journal will soon launch a new website that will provide web exclusive content to complement print articles, as well as online access to top chiropractic companies.
bulletChiropractic on a Navy aircraft carrier by Dr. John Solan -- In April, 2008, while attending a New Beginnings chiropractic philosophy weekend in New Jersey, a chiropractor from Ohio told me how he was taking care of soldiers at the U.S. Army base near his home. I was inspired to do the same in my own neck of the woods.
