100+ DCs meet in Argentina

by Dr. Liam P. Schubel

Last December, during a weekend conference in Argentina, more than 100 chiropractors from several countries came together to meet, discuss, and learn marketing, philosophy, and communication skills. The conference -- sponsored by Argentina's two leading chiropractic groups the Asociación Quiropráctica Argentina (AQA) and the Argentinean Chiropractic Foundation -- was geared to helping doctors return to their communities with powerful new ways to communicate vertebral subluxation-centered chiropractic with their practice members.

Although not the first seminar of its type held in Argentina, it also marked the first graduation of a group of 21 chiropractors who for two years had studied rigorous and principled courses in chiropractic art, science, and philosophy. These chiropractic pioneers received their diplomas in a spirited ceremony on the night of Dec. 13th.

The ceremony featured Jose Maria "Pacha" Galetto, president of the AQA, along with the entire AQA Board of Directors; Dr. Myron Brown, former provost of Sherman College; Dr. Brian Kelly, president of the New Zealand Chiropractic College; and Dr. Liam Schubel, president of the Peruvian Chiropractic Alliance and executive director of On Pointe Chiropractic Seminars.

In three days of action-packed "spizzerinctum," this principled group of individuals heard motivating and educational talks from Brown, Kelly, and Schubel as well as from Maria Ramonda, the AWA treasurer, on topics such as: "If It's Not Subluxation It's Not Chiropractic," "The Challenges of Leadership," "Straight Chiropractic in Argentina: Mission Possible," and "Communication, Marketing and Practice Procedures."

Argentina has a population of 40 million people with just over 100 estimated chiropractors currently in practice.
