California Jam 2009

by Dr. Bill DeMoss

"California Jam" is a Chiropractic Woodstock love fest, a full-day party celebrating the most phenomenal profession and its beautiful history and philosophy. It's now a two-day event that kicks off Friday, March 6th, 2009 from 9am to 9:15pm with 12 hours of CEUs (re-licensure will ONLY be on Friday, March 6th).

Friday's distinguished speakers include Drs. Terry Rondberg, Steve Hoffman, Miles Bodzin, Olman Mata, Brian Porteous (the man), Cliff Tao, and the very beautiful Dr. Grace Syn.

Saturday, March 7, is the all-day "World's Biggest Chiropractic Party." California Jam is titled "DCS Unchained" because of its heavy metal, head banging philosophy with no state board spies or unhappy medi-practors. This time you get what we deliver, which is the un-adulterated chiropractic story. No philosophy lite.

Similar to 2008, the event experience will have a heavy music theme with a live music performance by a major rock band, which will be announced on our website. If you don't like loud music, this might not be a good event… for you.

The event is being held at the most beautiful and elegant five-star Orange County Performing Arts Center that only holds 3,000 people and this event will sell out. We have pictures of the venue on our website for people to see just what kind of event this is going to be. Seats are reserved (just like a concert) so the sooner you buy, the better your seats, it's as simple as that. Don't procrastinate. I'm saying this because the prices will be going up as time progresses. If you intend on coming to the West Coast D.E. or "The World's Biggest Chiropractic Party," buy your tickets NOW.

The California Jam on March 7 will be headlined by power house mega volume chiropractors including: Drs. Fred Schofield, "The Rhino;" Brad Glowaki, "The Maven;" John Babich, "Mom" (the guy who dragged me into the world of Dynamic Essentials, where I was transformed from an unhappy medi-practor to an on-purpose chiropractor! ... and if it wasn't for him, DCS would have never happened, the Cal Jam would have never happened, and you would not be reading this right now); Mark Kimes, "Squeaky;" Patrick Gentempo, "Dr. Glass;" Claudia Anrig, "The Queen;" James Chestnut, "Chestnocrates;" Tim O'Shea, "The Professor;" Olman Mata, "Dr. Magic;" and me, Billy D, "The Godfather."

DCS has evolved from two guys reading green books to packed-to-the-gills monthly meetings and now the California Jam. Our goal? In the future to feature two-to-three major rock acts and in between the bands, some of the biggest minds in chiropractic -- so that we can tell the story to the masses like they did in the original California Jam festivals with attendances of 200,000 people. "If you build it, they will come"… THAT'S our mission!

Take some time off, make a vacation out of this event and visit our beautiful state. You can go surfing, snowboarding, shopping, go to Disneyland, or just hang out at the beach, soak up some rays and thaw out. Bring the whole family and stay at the Wyndham of Orange County (714-751-5100) which is right across the street from the Orange County Performing Arts Center and the world's coolest shopping experience, South Coast Plaza. You can easily fly into John Wayne Airport, just minutes away from the Cal Jam site and everything else. I couldn't have made it easier for my fellow brothers and sisters of chiropractic.

For more information, go to our websites: www.DeadChiropracticSociety.com and www.CaliforniaJam.org. You can find pictures, videos, testimonials, etc. from last year's smash hit event. Other pertinent websites you can visit include www.TheNewPatientMaven.com featuring (my brain-trust bro) Dr. Brad Glowaki's teachings on efficient and effective ways to give corporate and in-house workshops. You might also want to check out www.ChiropracticNutznBoltz.com a program that teaches doctors how to have a wildly successful practice while they have more fun and collect boat loads of cash. And, don't forget to visit our DCS Channel which is actually pretty cool and will soon have DCS interviews with some of the guest speakers at DCS!

I look forward to seeing you all in sunny southern California for our historical California Jam 2009.

Rockin' hard in the subluxation-free world...
