Some 200 people attended the DE meeting in March, held in Sarasota, Fla.

DE holds first-ever Sarasota event

This March, Drs. Sid and Nell Williams hosted approximately 200 doctors, spouses and students at the first-ever Dynamic Essentials meeting to be held in Sarasota, Fla.

The meeting, held March 29-30 at the Sarasota Hyatt Regency Hotel, featured an impressive lineup of well-known speakers sharing the "message of practicing principled chiropractic along with the lasting purpose principles of loving, serving and giving," said DE officials.

Heading the list of speakers and setting the tone for the weekend was Dr. Williams' keynote address. Dr. Sid, as he is best known, laid out a step-by-step plan for success in life and in practice, a message that he has been sharing with DE attendees for decades.

Another highlight of the Sarasota meeting was a cookout held Saturday evening at the BJ Palmer Historic Home on St. Armands Key, which was BJ Palmer's winter residence from the early 1950s until his death in the home in May 1961. The home is now a museum of furnishings and artifacts that BJ bought and placed in the home, along with memorabilia donated by friends of both BJ and Dr. Sid.

In 1980, Dr. Williams won the approval of Life College Trustees to purchase the residence and the home, which was opened for tours from 1982-2002, and is now fully restored and ready for visitors under the auspices of the BJ Palmer Historic Home Foundation, Inc.

Next door to the Palmer home is the house purchased by Dr. Sid and his wife Nell in the mid '80s, which was also open for tours following tours of the Palmer residence.

Williams later noted that, based on the many positive comments received after the meeting, he is considering holding another DE meeting in Sarasota in 2010.

Doctors wishing to visit the BJ Palmer Historic Home can call 770-438-9577 or 941-388-0850 to schedule a visit. Those wishing to donate funds to help maintain the historic building, can send a check to the BJ Palmer Historic Home Foundation, Inc., 1950 Old Concord Rd., Smyrna, GA 30080.
