COMMENTARY: Cultural Transformation

by Dr. Dave Scheiner

The responsibility of every human being is to better himself or herself while on the planet. Materialistic accumulation, wealth, greed, and ego must be overcome to realize one's true nature. The contradiction society formulates is such that early on every person gets taught success is measured by how much wealth and other belongings are gathered. The stress this places on each individual becomes apparent in many areas of life, especially the health and relationship arenas.

Look closely and see how happy and healthy people termed "rich" truly are. No dollar amount will ever bring them or anyone else true happiness, for it's an inside calculation. The more one accumulates, the tighter the rope winds within and the deeper the downward spiral effect becomes. Many practitioners within the chiropractic profession are bound up in this very trap so that the delivery of something pure and sacred into the spirit of those on their tables cannot occur. Practicing out of fear will only weigh you down, as will doing what you do to have a certain lifestyle.

Let's shift gears for a moment.

The true nature of the caterpillar is firmly embedded within its genetic coding and the same holds true for every human being. Wouldn't it be funny if you saw caterpillars driving across the branches of trees in fine automobiles with fancy sunglasses on their tiny faces? What if they had large homes with too much space only to find themselves filling that space simply because they have it? As a species, the caterpillar learned its lesson millions of years ago and shed all of its distractions in order to live a simple life with one aim -- transformation!

As with the caterpillar, so, too, do all human beings hold within their genetic blueprint a secret and wondrous capability to evolve into their essence. Although, because of the way we've been programmed and conditioned to function as a society (to accumulate, be greedy, take on debt, act out of fear, be depressed, medicated, sedated, etc.) it's virtually become impossible to tap into that delicate spirit within.

Or has it?

If the forms of meditation, prayer, books on the store shelves, and other new age principles truly worked to take us to the next level as a culture, then we most definitely would have gotten there by now. The problem with these "solutions" is, they were formed at the same level of thinking, acting, and being that created this stuck pattern we've been holding in as a society for quite some time.

The real solutions can and will only be able to come from another dimension whose thinking, ideas, and resolution are completely within a new context. What I'm referring to is within the realm of what you do not know, and you do not know that you do not know it -- yet. Chiropractic came to us from that dimension and it's that space we ought to consider coming from when we deliver the adjustment. It's from that place that everything new and wondrous is possible and it's from there that our human evolution will happen.

Tone and vibration are at the foundation and those must be brought to the forefront of our minds as we care for, empower, and serve our people. The chiropractic adjustment, at its very core, is the key that holds within it the opportunity to unlock the doorways and hidden passageways to our genetic coding and cultural transformation.
