General Advertising Policies

Contract Year

Advertising must be inserted within one year of the first insertion to earn frequency discount rates.

Terms

All advertising must be paid in fill, in advance of publication. No ad can be published until payment has been received. Contracts canceled prior to completion of contract will incur additional charges (shortrate) to equal the open rate for the actual space used.

Agency Commissions

15% to recognized agencies.
Color and production charges are not commissionable.

Closing Date

Closing date for reservation of advertising space is the 10th of the month preceding publication. Camera-ready materials and payment are due by the 15th of the month preceding publication.

Camera-Ready Copy Responsibility

Submission of copy is the responsibility of the advertiser. Copy from last insertion will be run if new camera-ready materials are not received by the 15th of the month. If no previous insertion, client is liable for cost of contracted space not used and space will be allocated at the discretion of the publisher.

Camera-Ready Materials

You must provide completed, camera-ready artwork, film with proof or electronic file for all advertisements. If providing electronic file, please request specification sheet detailing correct submission procedures.

Copy Authorization

All advertisements are accepted and published by the publisher upon representation that the agency and/or advertiser is authorized to publish the entire contents and subject matter thereof. In consideration of the publisher's acceptance of such advertisements, the agency and/or advertiser will indemnify and hold the publisher harmless from and against any loss or expense resulting from claims or suits for defamation, libel, violation of privacy, plagiarism and copyright infringement. Publisher is not responsible for errors in key numbers, or for information taken by telephone.

Copy Acceptance

Advertising that resembles editorial may be marked "Advertisement" or "advertorial" by the publisher. Any reference to The Chiropractic Journal in advertisements, promotional material or merchandising by advertiser or agency is subject to approval by the publisher.

Cancellations

If an advertisement is canceled after closing date for any reason, the publisher reserves the right to repeat former ad at full rates. If the advertiser has not previously run an ad, advertiser will be charged for the cost of space reserved. Neither the advertiser nor its agency may cancel advertising after closing date.

The publisher reserves the right to accept or reject any advertisements.
